You sound like my buddy with a jaguar took his car in for oil change they tell him you are down to 1 millimeter on the front pads. He asks how much they say $4000 he says for that much I want to drive the car down to zero millimeters and get everything out of the brakes.

I agree .... leave 'em on ... and even protect them .... makes everyone think you just bought new tires !! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Todd: The Darkside result is a bit too shiny for me, I prefer the matte new tire look.
I’m a fan of Chemical Guys VRP. Goes on easy, no sling, and has a nice sheen without looking overly “wet”. If you want an even more matte look their Silk Shine works. I use the silk shine for my interior dressing as it brings a light sheen to interior plastics and can be buffed to reduce the effect.

In that case I would recommend CarPros “Blackout”. It’s the tires equivalent to Ceramic Coating. Everything I’ve read indicates the product last six months, which includes washings and bad weather. The nice thing about the Blackout, is, you can apply up to four coats to achieve the look you’re after, in you’re case, I would think one coat would give you a clean matte rubber tire finish. i applied three coats of this to the GT500, the second coat didn’t have enough shine for me, the first coat was all matte finish. the key to successful application is the tire prep. Good luck.

HOLY SH_T, EIGHTY-TWO bones for 50ml! That's almost as much as the ceramic for the whole body. Hmm...me thinks I will stick with Perl but appreciate your recommendation, Todd.
I said the same thing when I went to read up about the product. Nah, I’ll keep using VRP lol

I swear Todd, every time I turn around, I read about yet ANOTHER CarPro product! <laughing> Been using CarPro Perl and love it but it only holds up for a couple washes. Therefive, I will have to pick up Blackout, many thanks.
Interesting. I’ll have to report back after a couple of washes. I like the fact it Is completely dry to the touch. I hood it Last longer than a coupe washes though, otherwise it’s expensive application

You guys and all your tire pubes can do your own thing. I prefer mine shaved and clean.
Ok Kyle, that was funny!

All of my cars are still rocking their full set of pubes. It keeps Camaro owners from hitting on me.

Todd: Grabbed a couple photos yesterday after applying Perl. The first one is Perl (diluted) after about 15 minutes but not wiped off. The second is wiped off and that is my preference. I just want the tire to look new and not attract dirt.

If I could get this look with "Blackout,) and have a completely dry tire that would hold up perfectly for six months, I would definitely give it a try. BUT, that's a TALL order.

Great suggestion
The brush softness is important for these particular tires. I picked up a similar looking one from Walmart but it was too stiff. You need one that's fairly soft and dense.

Also, I use this stuff and am fairly happy with it. Been through a ton of different dressings.
