lots of factors (geography, demand, signature sentimentality, etc.)- I could see you getting a pretty wide range of price offers honestly, but if I had to guess I would think that $40-45K is a decent starting place?

Ive seen plenty of 11s with his mileage going for 33-38k. Mods no matter how much invested decrease value of the car. Its worth more stock. However some people are crazy enough to pay more for a car then its worth even if it has 20k+ in mods. So maybe he'll get 40+. Hed honestly get more for it back to stock plus money for selling his aftermarket stuff. Some wont bother to do that though.

I had a 98 mkiv supra with 17k on dash, with 1200s rwhp and about 60k in mods plus the price of the car. I was lucky someone offered 70k. It defintely wasnt worth that. Supply and demand sometimes gets unrealistic prices for some cars. Its silly and a lot of people wont pay it.

Tag: I got $43K for my 2012 in TRADE from a dealer and it was bone stock with 3,800 miles (in addition to a decent discount on the new car). Mine had SVTPP only. With what you have on the car and its condition (not to mention that it is a convertible) I would start high.

NADA clean retail is $41,995 (with SVTPP and NAV, about $45,200). Your car is exceptional. I would start at $46,900 (if you have SVTPP and NAV) and see what happens. You can always cut the price.

It's absolutely free to keep it! I'm just throwing that out there. Sum total or parted out, always an interesting dilemma. Yes, you may or may not get more returning to stock and off loading the pieces ( I call first dibs ), but you will have to go through the hassle of posting items and shipping and dealing with low ball offers....Yada yada yada. I'd put it mid to high 40's as well either way you sell it. Spring around the corner is perfect time to get it out there. I am a bit taken aback at the thought

Say it isn't so Sean!!!

I agree with Kev though. Spring is a good time to sell (at or after Shelbyfest!)

Mid 40's is where I'd start.

Not sure about american market value but do agree with spring being around the corner is the best time!

I'm also getting last yrs feeling again, if by any chance I'd get a good offer this season, mine would probably go.

Best of luck Sean!!

How many times have you heard " I never should have sold that one "?
You have it just the way you want it, I'd keep it somehow. Or at least try like Hell to.

Mine is simply an issue of space. If I add something, something has to go.

If I did decide to buy something else I wanted to get a real view of what I should list it for in the market.

I haven't driven it or seen it (stored offsite) in 4 months. Cabin Fever gets the best of you especially when you see something like this.....

Sean, I would not replace your 500 with a Cobra replica... They are cool, but much less practical. If you were adding to the fleet, I'd say go for it, but don't replace.

Build a garage!

Mike

I figure it is still a "Shelby sort of" which would allow me to come to Shelbyfest!! If not I could always fire up the terminator since it is now an all ford show.

I just simply fell in love with the paint scheme and wheel package of the car I listed. It is perfect IMO.

I have sent the dealer a request for a quote on a clone with a few changes. That one in the picture is running a VMP blower tuned on E-85 that puts out 800HP!!! Now way in hell would I crawl into an AC with that much power.

I am well covered on the insurance front. Just don't tell Linda:)

We shall see what the quote comes back at and how long the build time would be. Then we shall see if this is just lust or the real deal.

See you in a few short months.

Sean

36K-38K area.

The MODs lower the value, few prospective buyers will believe that the car was not run hard, with the motor Mods your have, so you're best to put it back to stock and sell the MODs separately if you are handy, if not and you would have to pay a Wrench to do it, probably better to leave them on.

It's a very nice car, if you're patient and can find a guy that likes the mod list, you may get more...

LOL!! I'll bet we see you driving one at ShelbyFest. Goose will be wetting himself, Doug will grumble that it ain't a real Shelby, Vito will be offering you money or protection for the next year, if you'll sell it to him, and the rest of us will be praying for a winning ticket at the next lottery! Remember, I drove a 1965 427 AC Cobra last summer and boy was it a handful! Not for the faint of heart!

First off, DON'T SELL IT! You are just in the winter blues... One romp in the Spring will rekindle the love.

Secondly, this car is awesome. It's definitely worth 40-something.

I simply will not give it away for anything close to what some of mentioned.

Maybe it's pride or just the sick feeling of knowing how much $ I would throwing away.

I will not be putting it on the market.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sean,

During our trip to Vegas I shared with our group the same passion you have for the Cobras. I was going to buy a Superformance version, but at the last minute I felt quilty because it only had two seats and decided to go back to the GT500. Although I have zero plans of getting rid of my GT500, I do plan to purchase a Cobra one of these days.

If it is just a space issue, find more space or build more space. Several of us have said you have one of the best looking verts out there. It would be a shame to sell. If we lived closer I would be discussing you purchasing a building and I would rent a few stalls from you.

I say you keep it and pull a double whammy, buy the Cobra and the new GT350 :)

Just remembered that sweet aluminum body Cobra with brushed stripes at SAI. That car was amazing!!!

Sean, please stop posting links to such said madness. You, Bob and I share the same cobra clone lust. You need to get in one with an experienced driver/racer to see what it will actually do TO you. They don't refer to it as a widow maker for no reason. Plus, you wouldn't want to change your underwear every time you got out of it...." Oops, I pooped myself again."
