It’s getting a mix of positive and negative feedback on social media, as expected. The most common being about there not being much of a difference from the super snake look.
Not surprised at that. I think cost will be the advantage for the 350 IF ADM’s don’t go crazy over a very limited production car. You know they will though.

Harsh opinion but it seems Shelby America is starting to turn into Hennessy. Slap some bolt-on's on a base-ish car, call it something "special", and then proceed to charge 2x-3x what the bolt-on's cost. Heck this is just a Super Snake 2.0 if you think about it. I wish Shelby America would do some proper R&D like Ford has with the S550 GT350 and GT500 and collaborate with Ford to make something special. That VooDoo V8 was out of this world when the 350 was announced.

To add to this, from Shelby: 2025 Shelby GT350

Based On Manual Transmission, 300A, 2025 Mustang GT

So you mean to tell me that you won't even get the Tremec Transmission either?!? At 800+ HP the MT-82 is going to die before you make it into 4th.

When we went to SA in November, Vince said that if an order was initiated through them the dealership wouldn't charge an ADM. Who knows if they can really control it though...

This x1000! The dual clutch in our 500s is simply amazing!

Also worth pointing out, our cars were designed with boost from the factory and a whole-lot went into the cooling system to keep temps in check. This played into how the front of our cars ended up looking with the 6 coolers all fighting for real estate space. Hopefully SA did their homework on cooling the beast. Prior to the 2020 GT500s, the general consensus was track focused cars need to be naturally aspirated… hence the Voodoo in the 2015-2020 GT350. When you slap a supercharger on a Mustang GT, you are putting a lot of heat into the equation. Our cars handle the heat well. We shall see if this new 350 does.
Could not agree more Tim. Based on what I am reading on Shelby's website, 2025 Shelby GT350, the only performance comments are related to wheels/tires, suspension, SC, exhaust, small hood vent, and upper/lower grilles. I don't think Shelby America took this seriously; however, I hope I am wrong, especially for the price point they are selling these at.

For all the S650 naysayers out there, I own one as a daily driver. The ride quality is much better than the S550. The transmission calibration on the 10 speed is much better than the S550. Most people that ride with me are surprised to see the speed we are travelling over the S550. The ride is very compliant and comfortable. I have the magna-ride and active exhaust. In quiet mode, you feel like your in a sporty luxury car.

The looks may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is definitely a better car than the S550.

FWIW, we have the 2022 GT500, a 2018 GT PP1 manual, and had a 2019 EcoBoost manual in our fleet. I have a friend with a 2018 GT PP1 A10 that I let drive my 2024 solo. He was amazed by the transmission and suspension upgrades over his car.

Just doesn't do it for me....not like my opinion matters but it seems like the S650 is boxed in and most of these "speciality" cars are all the same but branded differently. Nice to see the GT350 but it just doesn't have that wow factor for me like the GT500 had when that was first launched or even the last GT350. This looks like a GT with Shelby GT350 branding or a baby brother to the Supersnake.

This gen's looks still has not grown very well on me.

From some angles, like this, it looks good, though I think in this case, the lack of s spoiler/wing plays a big role in it to my eyes.

But most of the time, this looks clunky to me.

Same car, I know, there's just something odd to it. Looks like it's perpetually squinting and mad/angry.

The S550, I just fell in love with it the first time I saw a pic of it and I never get tired of looking at it. The entire car has lines that resemble raised snakes from pretty much every angle. May be just in my mind, but it's one of the coolest things about it for me.

It's nice and all, but it also feels like SA is trying to sell something that's another Mustang GT, just modded and badged mini-me SuperSnake/GTD.

I know that's what Shelby did with the GT350s and GT500s back in the day, but couldn't they have made it just a bit more unique. It's just....well sandwiched between the SS and GTD, like the poor red headed step child.

No Voodo engine, no Snake Steering Wheel.

SA selling it like

It's just...not enough. If it was a darkhorse based car maybe there is a case but no TREMEC at the least is a travesty. I mean the car is just a mess, a frankenstein, a shiny rock. The only thing Shelby about it is the name. Ford turned SHELBY into an exotic name with what they did on the S550 platform but that's because they did exotic things to it. A 5.2 in flat and cross planed cranks to fit the style of 2 different cars, a supercharger and DCT on the 500 on top of the ACTUAL body differences for both cars that help on track with air flow and cooling and just being different than a regular GT. You knew you were buying something truly different and WORLDS apart from the regular lineup and this new one just doesn't work.

Bold take and probably blasphemous but it feels like RTR is becoming the new Shelby. Shelby made bold changes to the car when it all began 60 years ago and they were really the only ones that changed the way people thought about performance and they tried new things and had actual R&D into it but in todays age it's hard to stand apart from the rest and without any recent racing or branching out, Shelby hasn't done anything worth the price. RTR offers a ton more than just a SC kit and wheels, it's a paint shop, drift brake development with Ford, rocker panel and front/rear diffusers, wings, full suspension, mustangs, broncos, mavericks, electric vehicles. RTR is in so many oddball racing competitions that they develop actual parts that help performance overall and just offer something truly unique and different.

I for one won't be selling my 500 for this car. The rear duckbill spoiler is really the only cool part about it that I see that is Shelby specific. Like not even a front splitter? just different grilles, a new hood and stripes. It's lackluster in my opinion and honestly the last ACTUAL original car that Shelby has R&D and really was different was the Code Red and Shelby1000. But I still love Shelby and their widebody look is to die for. GT350 is a miss for me.

I just hate that all Shelby American does now is slap parts on a regular Mustang. Nothing special other then a CSM # and Shelby pricing. Least the older Super Snakes were true Shelby's with a unique engine. The difference between a Mustang and a high-performance vehicle like a Shelby, is what makes a Shelby a Shelby.

Looks like run of the mill BMR susp stuff that I have/just got. Nothing wrong with it, I like their stuff, but not super special either.

I do like the brake rotor venting.

Threads with struggling to cool the 10R80 without a blower.

Our GT500 trans cooler is pretty small, and not even in the direct airflow to the radiator.
Can get away with it due to not having the typical "auto" components that generate a lot of heat. But more important I suspect, is it opens up the cooling path (s) for that 7-800 blown HP.

The reason I spent an extra 60 grand over my blown auto S197 (that was trapping in the ballpark of a 500), was the promise that overall package works (and it does). EATS consumables, but that's about it.

Ultimately it's success will be determined by it's sales. It does have an uphill battle since the S650 is already sagging in sales. I didn't even think about not having the tremec if one got the manual, but that is the same transmission the current Super Snakes are using.
