This is COTA After Dark with Edge Addicts! Circuit Of The Americas is a bad-ass crazy track. At night... it is simply eye opening! Climb aboard my 2020 Shelby GT500 CFTP as well as my buddy's GT350R as we exchange lead and chase! 156 mph in total darkness when you cannot see the brake markers is not for the faint of heart! Multiple turns on the track were black holes! Headlights only show what is directly in front of the car... you cannot see into the turn! Footage is from the 2 night instructor only orange run groups shot with multiple cameras on my car as well as from the GT350R. Blinkers are used for pass signals with flashers for going into the pits. The 350R is on Goodyear Supercar F1 3R tires and the GT500 is running Nankang AR-1s.

Wow Tim that was very cool to watch, I would love to try that one day. I guess chasing was easier as you have the other cars brake lights and seeing them turn to give you a heads up?

David the GT350 Driver is really good especially he has to manually shift his car, Oh That GT350 sounded badass.

I have to watch this video again after I get back from my walk, I will also post this on my FB Page with all my other Car stuff.

Very cool Video Tim, I really want to try it one day, after I get better doing road course racing during day light;)🙏

Another fun and well-choreographed video, Timmy! Reminds me of Sebring in the mid sixties sitting in the lawn chair and watching the cars come through the chicane and brake hard for the hairpin. Cherry red rotors glowing in the dark, just like yours. I've got a great night picture of a 911 Porsche coming down with the brakes glowing in the dark. That's got to be a different experience without the visual brake ques and speed control. Sure gives you added respect for the drives at Sebring and LeMans!

I watched it again Tim, it was even better the 2nd time around, You and David the GT350R driver chasing each other is by far my favorite part.

You said he had better Tires? What tires was he using compare to your tires?

I rarely see a S550 GT350R over here is his exhaust stock? Sounds Great.

You both are very good drivers. :)

Thanks guys! 🍻

David (the 350R driver) lives by COTA… it’s his local track. He is an instructor and drives the track often. He is an excellent driver and his car is bad ass! He is running my favorite tire, the Goodyear F1 3R. They are simply amazing! I have hit my personal best at COTA running the 3Rs. 3Rs are currently available in the 19” size his car uses. The 20” size my car needs has been on back order for a long time now… still waiting and waiting for them to become available again. In the meantime, I have been running the Nankang AR-1, which is my second favorite, it’s just not as fast as the 3R. The 3R offers superior corner grip and has surprising longevity.

We did not plan to go out and run together, we just ended up by each other on track and started playing. We traded lead a few times and had an absolute BLAST… my favorite COTA experience ever!🏎🤟
