Clunking in Stop and Go Traffic

Picked up our 2022 from the dealership in another city and got stuck in construction traffic heading out of town. At the low speeds moving forward in traffic I'd get a hard clunk everytime I stopped again. Is that expected, am I doing something wrong or is there potentially something wrong with the car? Sorry for my naive question, I'm not familiar with this transmission.

These cars are not meant to go slow ;)

I can’t say if it’s normal or not but I can tell you that it has happened to me. The speed limit to exit my neighborhood is 30 mph and often it is almost a crawl because I have to slow down for horse traffic. I notice it happens when the car is ready to shift to the next gear and I have to ease off the gas.

The DCT can be “clunky.” It’s not like a traditional automatic. Best advice I have is to ride with another 2020+ owner and compare noises.

It’s most likely the DCT it does not like slow speeds. I usually pop it in manual if I’m in stop and go traffic. It stops the DCT from wanting to shift at slow speed.
