I did Michaels as well but didn’t go with a floating one. $50 with a piece of matting I painted black because all they had was creme. Mine is thick and heavy paint stuck easily because it’s a really smooth surface.

I loved to be able to order from these places, I've used Michaels before, for my Baseball Photos, great stuff, premade or made to order.

The shipping would kill me coming here, Damn.

To do a 36x24, I can get some decent premade stuff here in different sizes frames, 36x24 are all unmated, My Framing guy here, for something that big charges around 60 bucks, depending on quality of the wood frame selected.

I can't get metal frames Here, at least not here in Subic, maybe Manila

Michaels is a great place to get Frames, I bought hundreds from them for all the baseball stuff, The premade frames are good quality and yes Barb, not to expensive. I love to get some🤷‍♀️

It has begun!! Started my next Frame project. Got 2 11x14 frames from Michaels thanks to @QSK50.

Base coat paint goes down silky smooth! I should have done a primer coat but I didn’t and got a little peel chip taking the tape off of the stripes. 😤 got a small touch up bottle coming to fix it.

I’m sure they do, this one I bought was single matted but it was like $5 on sale but really nice! You can always cut your own matting, I’ve done it with a couple projects. Super easy with a straight edge and exacto blades.

Very true Chris, Back when I was framing up hundreds on Baseball photos, depending on what it was, I did Buy premade stuff, also had Michaels make stuff, and like you said cut some matting myself, You're correct its easy, with a Sharp razor blade, exacto knife Etc. I even bought this Amature kit from Michaels to help hold the matting in place. Smaller stuff up to 11x14 was pretty easy.

Here its hard to get the damn Matting, The framing guy I use isn't real expensive, so anything Special I have him do it. Just had him frame up 2019 GT350 Broches I post a picture later

Full Discloser Barb, I really don't, if I just use one room, Wife gave permission I can use the whole House, So the stair case, all bedrooms, living, dinning rooms will get something

Hell she even said use the kitchen where I have a Yellow 32 Ford Coupe, that is 24x36, matted framed hung above her coffin style freezer. Looks great

When I finish the whole house, I'll post 15 tp 20 photos of the display, Got all the shelfs installed, Finally. Even the one in the stair case. Waiting on some pictures to be printed, plus frames to finished being built.

It will look like a car museum Barb. 🙏
