I am not an owner yet... could have been today except this happened. I am just going to copy and paste this from my yelp review and if you guys can suggest other forums I should post this too, I will gladly do so. I am SO sick of this kind of customer service. I've been getting this crap all week from all different people and it's sad that they only "respond" when you post negative comments / reviews. Is it the economy or just how it is in the "real world" that people can't just be truthful?

------quote from yelp-----

HOORRIBLE customer service. I went to finally pick up a 2012 Shelby GT500. The salespeople were leaning all over it and obviously drove it around a whole bunch (had almost 50 miles on it). Then they tell me that I can't drive it because they don't want to rack up miles on it (I didn't care because I've already driven one... I'm here to buy it on a pre-arranged price remember?). I just thought that was a little rude to start off a conversation... especially since I've been talking to this dealer since JULY (when they first got the car). So the car has been sitting this whole time, being driven around by these TOOLS.

Here comes the kicker. We sit down and start talking numbers and they basically said I was misunderstood on the price. The offer to me over SUMMER, was $1000 below invoice and a couple years free maintenance. I planned on doing the work myself, so I walked in expecting to get a few hundred knocked off. I KNOW this is the price because he even gave me the total. Around $51,000. I was called a liar and embarrassed in front of my whole family. We drove 1hr+ in bumper to bumper traffic.

These guys lied and called me EVERY DAY for a week straight. Sometimes numerous times from morning to night, making sure that I was coming in. I thought it was cute and they had enthusiasm. Little did I know, they were trying to bait me in and try to sucker me into buying this car that's been collecting dust (NO WONDER with customer service like this).

I was steaming as we left. I calmed down to call the sales manager, THEO, on the way home. In the phone conversation, he proceeded to call me a liar, saying this car goes for over sticker (oh really? funny because I'm buying one from another dealership for LOWER that what we arranged... too bad for you). And then he told me he didn't care who I told or if he lost business to locals because he can just make up sales by selling to Taiwan and China. I am Asian American, but this practice of selling to Asia and the Middle East pisses me off a LOT. You never see these wonderful cars on the road because some prince or rich mofo over seas can buy it for WAY more cuz our USD is weak.... where is the patriotism?

He was rude, condescending and told me, he doesn't care who I told. Trust me, you do not want to deal with these guys. I am posting this on all the mustang / ford forums too eventually, because this was just outrageous. Not even an apology, but calling me a liar? Cuz gas is cheap and I wanted to drive out just to "see" a car I've already driven..ppsshhh.... no such thing as customer service anymore.

THEO can suck it. :fight:

I wouldn't let a bad dealer stop me from getting what I wanted, I would just find another dealer..and all new cars they come with 5 to 50 miles on them, doesn't mean they have been driving them around..I hate hearing stuff like this but some dealers are like that..thats why they are always refured to as STEALERSHIPS!! I have been in your shoes..I found a great dealership in 04 and have been buying all my cars from him ever since..

I just called them and told them I will NEVER use their business for any reason. I told them I am telling everyone I know not to use them. I told them the GT500 forums now know all about their deceit and shady practices. I also mentioned that they seem to be un-American. I also told them I am complaining to Ford about them. I'll call Ford tomorrow...

thank you all... and I hope you guys NEVER have to deal with this yourselves.

Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I have family issues, home issues (weather here torn down my fence... isn't this supposed to be sunny socal?), my girlfriend decided she wanted to have a pointless argument with me, my undergraduate university is delaying my diploma which may ruin my chances for dental school because of a petition I filed over 6 months ago, it's my finals week and i'm responsible for trying to get my little brother into college / not fail his last year of highschool...

a lot on my plate and this was supposed to be a grad / bday / xmas gift from my parents to me... but I was responsible for finding the best deal. I found it at another dealership, they honored their price... I am awaiting for funds to clear hopefully, and go get my baby. SCREW THIS DEALERSHIP.

p.s. Had the EXACT same type of treatment with my GT-R from Miller Nissan in Van Nuys... They held my $7000 deposit for an ordered 2009 GT-R. Got me the wrong color. Demanded that I pay $7000 MORE for their ordered color or lose my car / deposit. THEN took forever to give me my deposit back. Ended up finding my ride in San Diego for MSRP (unheard of back then).

I will do dealerrater... and let me know if I should contact anyone else. Numbers or websites would be good. Thanks fellas... I'm excited. I might finally get to taste what V8 muscle is like!

Man, what a frustrating experience. Karma is a bitch, so don't worry about those guys. Anyhow, I had a pretty good Experience at Galpin in North Hills. They bought me dinner while I was up there and since we couldn't get a concrete approval from the bank that night, they ended up delivering the car to my house the next day because they knew I lived a considerable distance (through Los Angeles Traffic Hell) away. You are going to LOVE your new car, trust me this is all worth it. I did a $0 down, 60 month lease, which apparently is uncommon with a Shelby, and had to give them everything but my blood type to get the deal done. I almost gave up and walked away from the deal, but I'm so glad I didn't. This is the best car I've ever owned. Hang in there.

I've thought of this scenerio before. It's amazing to me that a Ford dealer can think that they've got something that no one else has. I think you need to tear up the internet, find the car you want, and turn it into a road trip. Take your girlfriend, have a good time w/ it. I believe that's how I would do it.

trust me, I am a maniac at locating cars. And I found the exact car I want, for a better price. I just needed to clear my finances, which I did today. SO, hopefully, by the end of my finals (tuesday)... I will go pick her up... IF she's still there. They didn't want to take a deposit and hold it for me, since it was such an insane deal... but I hope all my patience will pay off.

ever since I called them and complained- in solidarity- they have been calling me...

Galpin made me stand around the lot the second time I went to them. They didn't even remember me from the last time I went there (I even drove one of their GT500s? How could they forget?)

I have heard a lot of good things about them and some of the salespeople are VERY kind... but others just don't care to take the time. I guess it's like that everywhere. But there are a lot of perks of buying from them.

Got my gt500 with Sunrise N. Hollywood, and you are completely correct, they are liars and thieves. They kept trying to change the deal after the verbal and the "handshake". They tried to sneak in the gap ins. without advising about it (a big no no in CA) there was much more, as well.

Bunch of crooks...stay away...from that dealership.

I have heard good things about Galpin.

sorry about your experience. at least you GOT yours... I'm still trying to get mine... hopefully this tuesday, I will have a deal worked out. Staying away from Sunrise Ford for good. I saw someone driving a Ford with their plate on it yesterday... and for some reason, it made me pissed off (even at the driver a little bit... haha). I know that makes no sense, but the experience there made it one of the worst days I've had recently.
