Hey everyone, I finally got around to putting in my new wheel from Beith and it is amazing. It took a few months to get in but Tim Beith was quick to respond and fantastic to work with. I would recommend his products if you are looking for a new wheel. Hardest part was pushing the pins to get the airbag/center out. Just have to be patient.

It was really easy to install. I had to shave down the bezel pieces a little with sand paper because they use the stock ones and just repaint them. The thickness was a little off and caused one button to stick and the plastic part on the back of the wheel to stick up over the horn. But some quick sanding and everything is flush.

As for driving, the bumps that protrude out on the sides leave a nice rest for the side of my hand and keeps me holding the wheel proper. Something the standard wheel doesn’t have. I prefer it as it prevents you from wrapping your hand around the wheel and let’s you have a looser grip so you don’t fatigue.

I have a Beith wheel as well and roger on those damn airbag clips! My problem was that the "hood" of the column cover sticks up above the wheel about an eighth of an inch. Despite multiple attempts, I still can't get it flush with the wheel.

Mine did the same. If you take out your original bezels and clip the back hood plastic to the bezels, you will see how it is suppose to connect. Now look at your existing bezels on the new wheel and you will see how the clips aren’t hooking to the bezel because it is too thick. If you sand it down to a point where they connect just like your originals, everything should fit back flush. Just sand the underside. I sanded down the inner tabs too but I don’t think that was needed.

Let me know if you need any help and I can take my wheel off and take some pictures.

Would bug me too. If Beith can't make a part that has proper fit and finish then I will not buy it. Great that you made it work. But that is UNSAT in my opinion.

I agree with you Matt. I hope Beith gets some complaints matching the one in this thread, looks into, and comes up with a fix for future production; and also offers a free replacement of the defective wheels including shipping paid by Beith.
