The caliper bolts are not hollow, I cut a groove into one to use as my thread scraper before installing my Caliperfexion bolts.

I am partially to blame for the shortage of the studs. The owner told me they saw a rise in demand after I released my brake video. When the video hit YouTube, they saw GT500 stud demand surpass GT350 demand.

Same here which is why i was so doubtful.

That makes sense if they’re hollow. Wish I could have gotten the studs. Now I have to drive to the dealer to order the damn bolts when I get back home. Lol. Sucks you can’t buy anything you need during this mess we’re in. I was planning on ordering about 7 grand worth of carbon parts but have given up because of a combination of availability, sketchy vendors, poor quality control expectations, etc. I’m just not convinced I can get all the parts in acceptable condition at one time to get the project done. Had the same issue getting kitchen cabinets too.
Carbon fiber kitchen cabinets 😳 … man youre next level. 😉

For what they cost they should be made of carbon. Lol. They’re just like everything else is now. You can’t get certain sizes or types of cabinets. I spent untold hours designing a layout in the space I have and kept getting certain ones that just said unavailable when I tried to order them. You can’t even backorder. After redoing my layout the 4th time for a different brand and getting the same result, I just gave up.

Thanks guys. There is also a caliper bolt for rears that attaches to spindle . Is that the same torque spec as well?

Anybody know if the front caliper bolts only come in packs of 4 or if they come individually? Prices are all over the place online and they’re less than clear in the ads what you’re buying. I have only seen actual pictures of 4 packs though.

Can’t help you. I did the caliperflexion mod right away.

While it's possible GT350 and GT500 caliper bolts are the same, when the latter has a larger diameter rotor I have to wonder. I guess I reacted fast enough to have gotten the Caliperflexion studs, but as I recall, they were car specific when I ordered, but can no longer confirm. Reading the instructions for the Caliperflexion brake studs indicate the studs for the GT500 are longer than the GT350 and not to mix them as follows.

Caliperfexion front brake caliper stud kits are designed for specific applications. These instructions show images of brake hardware for the GT350/GT350R. The installation process for our GT500 stud kits is identical (including torque figures). Note - the GT500 studs are longer than those used on the GT350/GT350R so do not mix the two and be sure to order the stud kit appropriate for the vehicle you intend to install them on.

If someone bought the OEM bolts for the GT350, you might want to compare it to what you're removing from your GT500. Using shorter bolts than what came on the car would be a mistake.

They are different and not interchangeable from what I remember. That’s why they sold them as separate kits and not as 350/500 kits.

There’s absolutely no need to remove your rear calipers when changing pads. You just tap the pins out, remove the spring, and the pads slip out through the top.
