What do you guys think of this number in this weather and DA and what times should the car be running in expectional conditions. Humidity was around 74%. Used paddle shifters in sport mode with TC on and was shifting around 8000 RPMS since the car is tuned. I also included another run where I let the car shift automatically at the rev limiter which is the 7500 RPMS mark also in sport mode with TC on.

6.57s: shifting in redline.
6.73s: shifting automatically at the rev limiter.

Mods are: Lund 93, JLT CAI.

Looks absolutely insane to me!

I have never used a draggy as I am more interested in corners and braking than straight line acceleration, but that looks like serious power!

On a side note, it has been reported that Tapatalk will no longer work here in the near future.

Isn't this slow for 93 Tune and JLT CAI... I mean if you convert to MPH the 60-130 MPH time would be 7.47 since you have to add 0.9 which makes stock GT500 run lower times. Is there something wrong with the car??

I don’t know unmodded Draggy times nor modded times, but there are variables that will affect performance:

Headwind/tailwind
Temperature
Drive mode
Surface/traction
Traction control on/off

It’s probably the Draggy 😂 mine stopped working so maybe it’s on the fritz. Were you spinning between 100-200 at all?

The dragy is brand new, literally bought it yesterday. Regarding wheel spin i started from around 80 km/h the car spun a little at first but by the time it reached 100 km/h it was hooking and booking.... I don't know I'm very confused now, I dug up on youtube and did some research and found that people with my exact same setup running lower time in higher DA. Take this video as an example:

2020 GT500 Dragy 60-130 #shelby #mustang #gt500 #dragy #s500 #shelbygt500

Here if you convert his 60-130 MPH time to 100-200 km/h time it would be in the mid 5s..

What are the differences? You were at 977 meters above sea level and 34 degrees celsius? That’s high and hot, that car also accelerates on the Yellow so likely was above 100k before the timer started.

Don’t be disappointed, go out and hit some more test runs. The temp and elevation are going to cause some issues with time.

What gear are you launching in?

He mentions in the description that the DA was right below 2000 but its 28 Celsius for him idk about humidity tho. I'm launching in second, sport mode with TC on.

Ok, next time launch in track mode. Don’t turn any other nanny’s off its going to improve your time. Just switch to track hold on tight and let it rip.

I'll try that tomorrow and see what happens but ever since I got the car tuned I had a feeling that something's off either with the tune or the car but I don't know how to make sure.

How about a conversation with the tuner after a couple more hits? Have you had the TCM software update done?

#16 ·
I've sent Lund an email will be waiting on their reply. Whats the TCM software update? you mean get the TCM tuned by Lund? if so yes its tuned.

It’s a program update put out by Ford. It improves the DCT shifting and throttle response.

How do I know if its updated and if its not how do I update it. Last time my car was serviced at the dealer was 1 month ago I don't know if they do the update on their own.

They should tell you if it was performed. You can always check your paperwork and see if it’s noted on there.

This is the reflash recall:

I am not very knowledgeable about spirited driving. I can't paddle as fast as the DCT in sport or track mode, as I always hit the ref limiter. I wonder which is faster sport or track. I remember somewhere that track mode smooths out the shifts to allow better control.

Having used both and done time slips the Track is faster, if I remember correctly it was almost a second faster than Sport. It feels like Sport is the rowdy street mode but tame enough to let you know when you have gone too far.
