Was getting ready to pull the trigger on a 21 Black CFTP with white PS, but the more I read about black, a lot of people say stay clear.

Haven’t seen Dark Matter gray in person. Any thoughts or opinions on the color?

Owning a black car is like having a 2nd full time job,.......
.............it looks great for the 30 seconds it stays clean.
Having owned a black car & a gray one, the gray hides dust 1000 % better..

My wifes 22 Mustang GT is Dark Matter Gray. We love it. I love my Rapid Red 500, but I wish I could have found a 500 in that color.

My 18 350R was Shadow Black. I was apprehensive about the color as well. However, I just told myself if I'm going to choose this color then I have to get it stage 2 paint corrected and protected. Ceramic or full PPF will make all the difference. Here's couple reflective pics of my wifes C7 about 4 feet away after stage 2 and ceramic.

Black is the most beautiful color you could ever put on a Shelby. My 350 was Shadow Black had PPF and absolutely beautiful, I received comments everywhere. It is an absolute PITA to clean. If you did a full PPF you wouldn't have to worry about the swirls from constant washing. If I didn't live where dirt made up 20% of the air I would own another black Shelby.

Current 4 vehicles are all black, prior I owned a gray, white, and blue. I love all colors but gravitate to black. They all look sharp when clean and yeah I spot some dust after heading out but at a short distance it still looks awesome and is hard to see that. Some colors hide the dust better than others. None hide that dust on the rims though which is my biggest issue as they'd have to be cleaned every time prior to going out (which I don't do).
My Shelby is full PPF'd along with ceramic coated and it's easy to clean quickly with a duster or more detailed a bit longer but still can be fast. I think PPF / Ceramic makes a big difference.
My other black cars don't have that so IMO the dust / grim shows faster on them.
I do like the dark gray matter and IMO you can't go wrong with any of the Shelby colors, it's preference.
