To bad they didn't test the 2013/14 GT500 pump, it would have been interesting to see how it compared to the other pumps.

 

Agree! Let's hope they flow as well as the zr1 pump!

I think the funny thing with oem stuff is just how effective it is. When you read about what real world motorsport teams use you often find is an oem supplier but maybe the 'next size up'. The aftermarket stuff just dosent cut it. In I guess this is proof of that.

Van, how about some similar testing with a GT500 intercooler setup? Maybe give LPE a call and see if you can borrow the test rig? Then we could finally put the upgraded pump thing to bed for ever!

 

I wonder why the secrecy over which 20gph and 50gph pumps they tested.

 

My guess would be they wanted to remain impartial so as not to offend anyone. LPE are pretty big in the GM world so don't want to been seen to be openly putting down anyone on an open forum without letting them respond accordingly.

the Stewart EMP pump is the same pump ford used is their Ford GT(supercar)
