If anybody has a set of the ID1700 injectors they need to touch base with Injector Dynamics. ID is swapping them out for a Recall. I don't know the particulars, call ID immediately to get a new set.

Jeebus, please keep us informed of your plans with the ID1700s!! I made 1200rwhp in my TT GT500 with the ID1000s...if there is a need for 1700s...:surprise:

The recall info is quoted below.

Injector Dynamics ID1700 – Important Notice
March 4, 2016
Since the release of the ID1700 in June of 2015, 36 parts have failed in service. The failure mode is the same on all 36 pieces. The injector will click as if it is functioning correctly, but no fuel will pass through.
The cause of the failure is a stress riser created during the machining process. The stress riser exists on a small percentage of parts, and these parts tend to fail fairly quickly.
The current failure rate is 0.82%
The machining process has been revised, and the new version has been endurance tested to the equivalent of 65,000 miles with no failures or appreciable change in operating characteristics.
This new version will be available starting March 11, 2016.
There are several thousand of the original design parts in the field. While 99+% are running fine, there is a chance of failure, which is approximately 1% based on our current data.
If you, or your customer has a failure, the complete set will be replaced with the new design.
Supply of the new design is still limited, and delays are possible, but all defective parts will be replaced as quickly as possible.
As most of you know, Injector Dynamics worked with Bosch Motorsport to develop the ID1700, as well as the ID1300, and the upcoming ID1050X. While it may not be relevant to your race car, it is important to me personally to note that the failed parts, and the machining process that causes those failures originates at the Injector Dynamics facility, NOT at the Bosch factory.
I make this point because I value the Bosch Motorsport name, and the level of excellence that it represents, and I would not want to tarnish their impeccable reputation.
As for Injector Dynamics, it is hopefully clear that we are a company who always has, and always will stand behind our product.
Thank you.

Do you know if the ID1300s are affected by this recall?
