Just wanted to share what forum member @Andretti (Bryan) made... he was asking a couple of us for thoughts on custom carved GT500 themed pumpkins. These are foam (permanent) pumpkins that he carved/engraved by hand and absolutely knocked it out of the park! He ended up sending this to me free of charge since he didn’t want to try and sell any official logos. I donated funds to him for his efforts though. There is a lot of time involved in making one of these. If anyone is interested in one like this, or any other design. Reach out to him via PM (conversations).

Thanks again Bryan! 🤟

Nice, but that's clearly a post-2014 GT350/GT500 logo that had nothing to do with 2014 and earlier GT500s. Ford Performance and the angular snake both came after the Special Vehicle Team (SVT) that built 2007-2014 Shelbys. It should be labeled accordingly.

I don’t get what you are saying. This is not the 2014 and earlier “curvy snake” and it does not say “SVT.” It is the “edgy snake” from 2015+ and it says “Ford Performance.” It’s perfect!

He could also make the older style snake with SVT on the pumpkin.

Don't want to ruffle any feathers but does it matter how politically Correct the pumpkin is. It is just damn cool work! 👍

Well said Mr. Nick!

It seems that in the current environment, people are offended/outraged by something/anything. This thread was meant as a “kudos” to Bryan for his outstanding work. The pumpkin is amazing... he is a skilled dude! If you want one, he can custom make you one for any year GT500. I just happened to get the new snake design, which apparently rubs a couple people the wrong way.

Listen, I am having a really difficult day, so excuse my directness. I am the other person who got this exact same pumpkin that Tim and I had Bryan make. I have a '14 Shelby. I don't give a rat's ass what year the snake looks like. I love mine, the effort to make this is crazy awesome hand made and skilled. I love mine. If you don't like that is doesn't represent the year of the snake on your car, don't get one. Tim has more experience then most of us combined with these cars (minus his poor stripe color choices) and when we were deciding, he liked this design the best as it represented his newest version. I could care less if it doesn't match my Tiffany's snake, because it is still cool.

This was noting more then three guys talking and working together. Except Tim banned me like 15 times in the conversation so I think I am holding onto the most banned by Tim title on the forum, which is something you all can aspire to.

When Bryan showed his skills in an earlier thread I went ape poop for the Star Wars ones and bugged him about it. Then this idea came about and off we went. Bryan told us what he had in it (costs, labor, shipping) and said he wanted no money, so I sent him almost double what he had in it as that is all I had to give. I just wish mine had white stripes on it like Carrol wanted on all cars with his name on them to have. :)

whether it matches your snake or not, it represents what we ALL love no matter the year, model, etc. that in itself is what counts, not the nit picky reasons where it should be located on a thread and other issues not important to the larger picture. Those are personal agendas being shown not appreciation for the skill and idea. My 8 year old who loves my Shelby and has demanded that I give it to him some day loves the pumpkin as well. THE moment I unboxed this with my son, we both went into the bathroom turned off the lights and plugged this in...Both of us were 8 years old at that moment. he didn't mention once it didn't look like the snake on my car...why, because it is so cool on its own, that is the point, not that it is period correct or anything of that ilk. it is just an awesome handmade piece that I now own and helps make my favorite holiday even cooler.

ok, Tim you can ban me again, I know..I know.

Do you feel better now? I got your point, I just don't care and wasn't speaking to you. Yes I am sure your opinion is 1 of 1 and I just didn't give it the credit it deserves. my apologies, next time I will make sure I use your screen name so that you don't get offended. you know what you wrote in post #20. 🙄

Sorry to just now post anything about this. I actually had some family friends in town this weekend, so I haven't really been online much, and here even less.

Yeah, I asked Dave and Tim for some advice since I thought that there might be an interest in something like this, so they both offered opinions as to what they liked and what they thought others might also enjoy. For their efforts, I decided to just give them a carve since I appreciated their time and directness as to what they thought as I was first coming up with ideas as to what others might like as well as playing with the options for how to actually carve. Since they had no issues with being the guinea pigs, I figured the least I could do was give them each a carve since I was battering each with questions.

I AM currently working on creating additional patterns that use the snake design that is most typical to the older GT500's like mine (2008 model). I actually already ran one idea past them and they were both very helpful by suggesting since the 'cobra snake' graphic I found was something never used by Shelby so most probably wouldn't like it, despite that I thought was really cool looking (which I'd be hard pressed to disagree with).
At this point, I haven't gotten far enough pattern wise to pull out my dremel and start carving anything yet, but I've little doubt I will shortly and likely will have at least one carved of the older styled snake in the next week or two. At that point I'll likely post a pic and see if there might be any sort of interest what-so-ever in anyone here possibly wanting one for themselves. That being said, I don't really intend (nor have the time) for doing a ton of carves so I figure I'll see what the interest might be after I post a pic or two and then try to realistically asses how many I think I could produce so anyone interested could still have it to use by this Halloween. One problem right out of the gate is I'm low on blanks and will have to have any I need first ordered and then shipped to me from Colorado. For anyone wondering, the beauty of these pumpkins is they are made of foam, yet they still look close enough to the real thing that the majority of times I've had my display out on Halloween, most people stopping to look have absolutely no idea they aren't real until I've flicked one with my finger despite standing less then 1 foot from it. Carving anything out of foam allows these to last literally as many years as someone wants to be able to display it, verses a normal pumpkin that rots and has to be thrown away within a few days.

Thanks Tim and Dave for the props and also for sending money for something that you never even asked for in the first place.

****Edit to add that this is why I had asked about anyone having a 'current' version of Photoshop in one thread and about the actual 'Shelby logo' lettering font in a second one (to aid in reproducing it for carving).

:ROFLMAO:Well he is actually black and white. A truly non-political soul. LOL
He is called "Mickey Mouse". Because I called him a Mickey Mouse dog when my wife suggested we buy him as a pup. Chihuahua? Really?? Darn little thing licked my nose with this ridiculously tiny tongue and disarmed me! Put him inside my Shelby Jacket pocket and zipped it up. Been my best friend ever since.

COOL pumpkin, Bryan! Awful nice of you to make that for Tim and good on Tim for providing a token of appreciation. Good stuff!

I don't know where the heck this thread went off the rails. I started reading a few posts after the original post and my head exploded. The intent of this thread is good --- simply passing along news of a nice gesture by both Bryan and Tim. Let's move on.
