ROFL  That price better be in Canadian dollars...but even if it was...the car is STILL wayyyyyyy over priced.

1) It is used with 2600 miles on it (and who knows how hard the owner abused it)

2) There is no NAV package on it..and with that price there should have been.

3) The aftermarket mods were made at the owners expense and should not be reflected in that price.

Good luck, because even if it was the last 2011 it still would not be worth what your asking. Why do you think that week after week dealers a re-posting the same cars on ebay, cars.com, autotrader...etc at reduced prices, when they started at $65-$70k and have dropped them $55-$60k and STILL cant sell them. I have seen the advertising pressure tactics they have been using to try and justify the price, like "End of the production year, 5500 quota has been filled, hurry if you want to own one"...like reverse psychology is going to work and force me to pay an outrageous price. We all know about 3% holdbacks, and we all know that the dealers dont pay anywhere near invoice for the vehicles...we also know that dealers are desperate to sell them within 3 months that they have them, so that they dont have to pay for the full cost of the car to the factory...I could go on and on with ways prices are jacked up to make huge profits. Best buy for these vehicles is around invoice $49k with both SVT and NAV packages (which still leaves the dealer with plenty of profit..plus they will make money on the next uninformed sucker that walks on the lot). Furthermore, as soon as you drive off the lot the car depreciates by almost $10k. We all have seen the same thing with the 2010 models, and now the internet is full of them because greedy dealers were asking to much, so they all ended up sitting on lots unsold, just like the 2011's will, especially since 2012 model will be in production in not too long from now.

If anyone on this forum dares buy a car for that price...I will come find you and slap you silly. :thefinger: There are plenty of threads on here were people that are persistent, and patient have managed to get their GT500's at reasonable prices (at/or below invoice).

Rant finished (just tiered of seeing people being ripped off).

:thefinger:

First off do some research about the Canadian pricing plus that is Canadian dollars not American and this add is a good deal for somebody in Canada. Also it is not 2600 miles it Km's so around half in miles. We dont have as many in Canada which changes the price Ford changes it to here. I have already taken a big hit plus again the 3m is almost a nessacity in Canada so that is no reg mod that might not keep its value considering the price as a pck makes it a very big plus.

I love clowns like you that come and hi jack somebody elses threads. Why dont you go on some Canadian auto trader sites and see the prices plus tax and then shoot your mouth off that I am ripping somebody off. 2600km which is basically nothing and a large discount will sell it around here and the guy or girl will be happy as this a great deal.

Go be a no it all on somebody elses thread

Your calling me Retarded. I can state with 100% certainty that on my dumbest day Im still going to be smarter than you. The Dr. in my screen name is not for decoration.

59,500.00 CAD = 57,411.24 USD

I never insulted you once in my original post, so I find it very amusing how defensive and insulting you are being. I make a comment that hits your nerve and automatically you jump to insulting Americans. Also the majority of users here are American, so thanks for insulting them as well...I am sure they will greatly appreciate it.
Just because it says I live in the U.S doesnt mean I am American. However, most of my best friends are American and quite the opposite of retarded (since most of them a leading researchers in their perspective fields). America is also a great country to live in..you should try it sometime.

Hey, by all means...good luck finding a sucker to buy the car...however you are wasting your time on this forum since no one here will spend that kind of money...we are too well informed.

Your turn to insult and cuss at me like a little kid :jester:

My 2010 (Coupe) had an MSRP at just over $60k. The only options are the Stripes and HID. The 2011 are a few grand more, for the same options. Add at least $4k for the vert. All of us in Canada know that we get ripped with the pricing here but that is the way it is.

I bought my car under the "Employee Pricing" promotion (still on) that Ford Canada has had every summer for the past 3 or 4 years. I paid $53K, brand new car. To me that was a fair price. The 2011 are not offered under this program at this time, but will be next summer.

I've traveled/vacationed througout Canada and found the people there gracious and inviting. I've lived more than a year in 6 foreign countries from Asia to the Middle East. My opinion of a POPULATION will always be measured on the aggragate of my experience rather than the encounter with a solitary sole. Let's see, Canada has a population of just over 33 million and the U.S. over 300 million. With nearly 10 times the population, there has to be an educated person somewhere.

I've had a good formal education but have to say that I value life's interpersonal experiences and mechanical experiences (Driving a Shelby and a Ducati 996) with like value. One is an experience of the intellect, the other of the restless sole!

Funny you would say that. I to have a very good education both scholastically and worldly but I tend to dabble in extravagance from time to time. Old habits die hard sometimes but they don't necessarily have to. I'm retired at 55 and not considered wealthy but still enjoy my solitary life. As far a restless soul, I'm quite content and on this I prefer to let God render his judgement. But thank you for stating it!

Cheers:)

Seriously? What kind of statement is that? Do you really believe that?

I was going to stay away from this thread as I found it totally ridiculous. It starts off with the OP trying to post an honest ad. The next 2 posters automatically attack his ad without even checking on the Canadian GT500 market. It only gets ugly from there. This thread should've been shut down and deleted long ago.

How do I say this without sounding negative...I guess I can't. From one Canadian to another you really should read up on your history. That is one of the most idiotic statements anyone has made on this site.

anyhow, as somebody said earlier this thread should have been dead a long time ago. I did sell it for 58,500 so I guess you better come to Canada and slap the buyer in the face.:fight:

You know what Arbour, I don't really feel like getting into a pissing match with you so lets just agree to disagree, my point was having America as a next door neighbour keeps the dogs at bay, calling that statement the most idiotic statement anyone has made on this site is not only stupid, but I'm guessing not true. Not sure which history you'd like me to read up on but please send me a list and I'll start reading! I was trying agree with Kwenarch, and let our brothers from the south know not all Canadians are so full of themselves that they really do think they are better then Americans. So with all due respect blow it out your back side and get off my back!!!!!!!

You're right no need to get into a pissing match over it. I'll send you a PM rather than continuing this nonsense.

O.k. there's only one way to settle all this, head to head drag racing. The Americans bring 10 cars and the Canadians bring 10 cars and we meet somewhere in the middle of the continent. B.J. can't come.

WOWEE-WOW-WOW!!!!!! I'm shocked by this whole thing. WWIII aside, I must weigh in one item. I don't understand why people feel it is thier responsibilty, nay obligation, to comment and correct pricing on other people's threads. Being one who likes to get top dollar for anything I sell, if you feel the price is too high, move on to the next thread. Let the real buyers make their own decisions. If I want to sell my pink polka-dot pet rock for $25,000, American or Canadian :), that's my prerogative, just as it's yours to pass on it. I always include a statement about feeling free NOT to post your opinion/comment on my pricing whenever I post things for sale for this exact reason.

Thanks rba44. You are a true Canadian and a gentlemen. Cheers!

mrl859, well said.

This is probably going to get a few members in a tizzy, but it isn't intended to:

I've been a member on this site since July 2006. I admit that I lurked the site for several months before finally joining trying to get as much information...well mostly rumours at the beginning - remember the press information that they would be factory rated at 475HP - on the GT500s before throwing my hat in the ring and placing a deposit on the car of my dreams. I've enjoyed both the camaraderie with the members and sharing some very valuable information about modding these cars. A lot of it was first hand experience from the pioneers with the then 'new GT500s'. Their trial and error with getting just the right setup and parts to work in tandem led to where these cars are being modded at today. Members like VNMOUS1, 07 SHELBY, GRABBER, who can forget 'The Prez' (and many others) are the ones that started this site and made it what it is...a place to share our knowledge and ideas with the GT500.

I've seen this site grow from a bunch of members 'just learning' to where we are at today with a lot of 'experts' on these cars. This is a great thing.

I am however, a little dissappointed with the recent barrage of attacks on members just trying to post an honest ad or a simple question. That's not what this site was intended for. Spammers aside, a little restraint is all I'm asking for. If you don't like the thread, then move on.

OK. I'm done with this rant.

Kwenarch has sold his car, so let's close this thread and get back to bashing Camaros, Mopars and sharing information about these wonderful automobiles.
