I am under the understanding that this gauge can do many things. Has anyone used the 1/4" setting on it to monitor 60' times and ETC?if so how difficult is the setup and is it accurate? All new to me.

It measures 1/4 miles by an equation done inside the gauge, it takes numerous data readings such as load, and tps, and makes a fairly accurate reading on the 1/4 time. It is not perfect like the track would be, but for when the track isnt available... the gauge will get you real close to where you are at. my experience with my cars is withing a tenth and a half for 1/4 mile. You could email us at sales@aeroforcetech.com to get exact information on accuracy as I am only the production manager and do not program the gauges myself. thanks for your interest.

Mike,
Can you elaborate on how it determines horsepower? Also, is the horsepower rating for the fly wheel or the rear wheels? Thx

it uses an equation to determine hp, it takes load, and torque readings, puts them into an equation and it makes an estimate. you have to know a baseline hp number by getting your car dynoed, then enter the hp into the gauge. after that, and you make changes to your car, the gauge will tell you if you make more power or less power based on the equation and the baseline hp that you input in the the gauge. I dont know everything about it but I do know that unless you have had your car dynoed and know a 100% accurate HP rating then the gauge can make more accurate estimates after that. until then, the gauge is making estimates using the data that was entered for a factory gt500.

Hey AeroFGT500, quick question (sorry don't mean to hi-jack the thread). I've been meaning to contact aeroforce about a problem. I've had my gauges for a few months now (dual setup) and one guage has 2 lines through the display. Kind of like the pixels or whatever went bad, and now there are always these lines going through the display all the time. Is there a warranty or what's the policy for exchanging these? Thanks.

I recommend contacting AeroForce directly (service@aeroforcetech.com). When I did, regarding an imperfection in the SVT lens I bought, my question was answered in a matter of hours and a replacement lens was on its way to me the next day. You also might try contacting Todd from AeroForce (aka forcefedjunkie / http://www.fordgt500.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=29449). My experience with them/him has been excellent.

How hard is the installation and where did you install your gauge?

Not sure from whom you wanted an answer but, FWIW, I found the install with a Roush Vent Gauge Pod (http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/Mustang-Gauge-Pod-2005-2009-also-fits-F150-2004-2008.html or http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/Mustang-Gauge-Pod-Vent-2010-2012.html) pretty simple. The pod includes easy-to-follow instructions and the gauge (http://www.aeroforcetech.com/products_interceptor.html) plugs into the ODB2 port, after which you can configure it via the two buttons on the front...

Got mine in a pillar pod with a manual boost gauge. Gauge itself was easy install. Hooking up the wide band was a bit tricky.

Here's a pic of mine. Excuse the crappy photo as it was taken in the shop with a flash.
