So I have had my 2012 gt500 (32k miles)for allitle over a year now, when I am at a stop and go to put it in first it's been needing a lot of extra force to go in. Is something wrong or is this just normal for this tranny? Any information is helpful

Also reverse is the same way and sometimes I actually need to let off the clutch allitle and it will slide right in

Thanks
Matt

Forward gears are synchronized and helical cut.
A reverse gear operates through a constant-mesh, fully synchronized system.

I can down shift to first from 35 without issue.

I had my tranny redone by AMP Performance in Phx. (got sick of a useless first gear w/3.73's)
Went from a crappy stock shift that ground into second a lot and a 'Guess Where You Are' tranny with a worthless first gear. First and Second ratio was changed, upgraded new syncros installed, MGW2, and it made one hell of difference!!! Shifts are crisp and positive both up and down... the best Mod for $$$ I have done so far.

1st on mine a little touchy-have to let things wind down a bit, but I cuss reverse all the time, get embarrassed if people around-they think I don't know how to shift the damn thing, just grind it.

It sounds like the clutch pedal is not being depressed far enough to disengage the clutch plates.
From what I understand the clutches in the pre 13 cars don't fully disengage until you get the clutch pedal almost to the floor.
The problem was "corrected on the 13-14 GT500's through the use of a different TOB and clutch master cylinder, thereby creating a new problem, clutch pedal not engaging until it is at the top of the stroke.

I would check the fluid level, bleed the clutch system and remove any air so you will get full stroke.

It very rarely grinds only sometimes going into 2nd when I'm rolling
So you guys think check the fluid?
It's weired that on uphill shifts out of 1st it's almost stuck in gear and has to be pulled out
Yes stock tranny and clutch
