Remove light scratches from radiator cover?

hey guys, so while trying to get my engine bay dressed nicely to compete at car shows I've noticed I have some light scratching on my radiator cover. I am not sure if someone else would notice this but I do and it drives me nuts! Is there a way to safely remove light scratches from this type of plastic by wet sanding it, etc? I was reading I could hit it with 800 gritt sand paper but was curious if anyone else has dealt with this? Replacement radiator covers ain't cheap so I was hoping there was a DIY method here.

Picture so you can see what I am dealing with:

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know where I can find the part number for a 2010 GT500 radiator cover in case I'd like to replace?

The GT500 radiator cover is the bane of my existence. I have painted mine, wrapped it, got pissed and broke it into a million pieces, put it all back together, painted it again, broke it again, offered a new one ($300), sanded that down, trimmed it, patched the hoof prop area,, and primed it. Now I'm thinking of just dropping the $650 for a CF one.

Yours is luckily different than the 13/14, but good luck!

Try Chemical Guys VRP as a temporary fix in the interim. Will absolutely hide small scratches

Lol you've been put thru the ringer. I have jax wax plastic dressing but if didn't hide the minors scratches much so bought the vrp dressing you mentioned.
