Methinks that this is a purposeful exercise to yet-further stretch the public's concept of what "a Mustang is, or can be..".

The Mach E caught many old-school Mustang faithful completely off-guard and out of left field. So maybe this is Ford's attempt at proactively expanding the minds and imaginations, with the intention of the Mustang eventually being an entire BRAND, not just a single model as it had historically been pre-Mach-E.

First Mustang brandizing step was in e-SAV direction with the Mach-E.

Raptor brandizing (noting that the Raptor brand is more like the Shelby vs Mustang brand) steps were in Bronco and Ranger directions.

If the article is true, they are Raptorizing the Mustang, not Mustangnizing the Raptor (which they almost did with the R… actually, Shelbyfying to be precise).

So they already moved in Raptor and Mustang brandizing directions.

Now I want a Mustang Raptor Shelby GT500 e-R. Ford MAWFAWKAS.

😂 😂 😂

If we didn't matter, there wouldn't be an S650... We must matter, because over at GM and Chrysler, they just served "go away and good luck" papers to their we.

I've got a strong desire to own a Boss 351, they just speak to me.. Yes, they're bigger, but they're pretty attractive for a bigger car... Unlike Dodge, who took their svelte and gorgeous 68-70 Charger, and turned it into a hideous comic book character in '71.

My only critique of the smaller 65-68 cars is if you're 6-foot or taller, they're not terribly comfortable, and you drive with one knee against the door panel and the other knee dangling over towards the shifter LOL.. 69-70's for me have always been the most comfortable to drive for long distances.
