gauges

That is a good price, the fuel pressure gauge kit itself is approx. $250 (CF Shelby sig.) and the fuel pressure sending unit itself if purchased as a replacement part from Auto Meter is $100...............$275 for the complete dash assembly, even if the sensors need to be purchased separately is a good deal................BUT, if the wiring from the back of the gauges to the engine will need be a build out, that will be a project.....................The bare dash pod w/o gauges is about $175......

This is the Best deal for an owner who already has this set up and buys this set as "spare parts" for the time when a gauge goes bad and these Shelby signature CF gauges are no longer available......

I already have 3 sets of these gauges (not including what Shelby installed in my car), plus an extra dash pod........and 3 sets of the pillar mount Shelby sig. gauges in the smaller 2-1/16" size for the 2011-2014 Super Snake and 2011-2014 GT350........plus a pillar pod for my 2008 that will use the smaller CF gauges, so I am "Shelby gauge heavy".......But $275 plus $20 shipping for spare parts is a Great deal.......

sure, that would be great, no mention of additional parts in the auction though.
new kit is $800, sometimes they have promotions.
might just get it as a backup, would not surprise me if they become obsolete eventually as so much other 07-09 stuff.

i had to cut, extend most wires when i installed mine.
took it slow and in steps, cabin stuff first, under the hood another time(s), last the below car oil pressure things.

installation instructions are on the shelbystore website.
several threads on this forum about install.

vacuum only needs just a line, a plastic T and some rubber hose (the T amongst a bunch of other small stuff did NOT come with the kit), basic autozone/pep boys,
oil block i see occasionally, i. e. 2007-2014 Mustang Shelby Oil Gauge Adapter KIT | eBay
leaves fuel pressure, i've seen the block for sale a few times here, this one had the pressure switch too. (1) 2007 - 2014 - Fuel pressure block and sending unit | Ford Shelby GT500 Forum (fordgt500.com)
^^^^^^^Yep, spare parts for a current owner is the Best Deal for this set up......Those Auto Meter CF gauges are available from Auto Meter in the CF Series.........BUT it is the Shelby signature "also" on the gauge face that makes them unique.......and we all know, those CS CF gauges will not be available forever........and what do you do if a gauge goes bad?......Put some sort of mis-matched gauge in the hole? or leave a non-working gauge in the hole?

Shelby signature gauges and the pod kit are all still available from Shelby. It’s a good deal IF it includes the sensors. Otherwise it’s a pod with gauge faces. The fuel pressure sensor is the expensive bit.
Yes, approx. $100 for the f/p gauge sensor, been there done that. I forgot to disconnect one battery cable when I had some exhaust work done, which included welding............That sensor got hit by a voltage spike during the welding, when I left the exhaust shop my f/p gauge did not work, it was a damaged sending unit on my fuel rail......Cha-Ching......$100 from Auto Meter.....

Thankfully I had a spare/new gauge kit and used the spare/new f/p sending unit to quickly trouble shoot the issue when I got home..........Then I put the new/replacement sending unit from Auto Meter back into the new/spare f/p kit.

WOW - Yes it is still available, but it is also almost $800!!

$500 difference between what we are seeing on eBay......as a Buy-it-Now.....

Then there's the oil pressure gauge manifold that Shelby packages with the gauges and sells separate for $120. I don't know anything about the gauges, but if boost is electric, you will need a MAP sensor for it.
As I mentioned above, this is the best deal for a current owner of these gauges/pod, they already have the items you mention above in place, and it is always nice to keep spare parts in stock for this type of item.

At some point in the past I think I even bought a CS CF Oil Temp. gauge which is used in place of the boost on the non-S/C'ed cars. Shelby had a sale and I figured I might as well pick one of those up also.....I think both of my Shelby GT500 oil pans (Black and Silver) have a threaded fitting for a oil temp gauge sender.

I bought mine on Black Friday of 2019 and it was 20% off and then I added the $40 angle mount so total cost was just shy of $680. Aye, I need to get them installed at some point.
That whole "angle ring thing" was me.........I found that the Auto Meter website listed a 2-5/8" gauge angle ring kit for their gauges, but at that time, Shelby did not, this was in the 2010/2011 time period.........I bought a set of those angle rings from Auto Meter and then test fitted them on a spare pod with the 3 CS/CF gauges. After verifying the fit, I posted pictures on the Team Shelby 2007-2012 Super Snake forum and there was much discussion, many owners were interested in the gauges facing the driver instead of a person sitting in the middle of the back seat..............Next thing I know (4-6 months later), Shelby announced an angle rings kit now available for that dash pod........Very Cool!! Both mechanical and electric will need a vacuum source, so they both come with tubing. At least my electric Autometer vacuum/boost gauge did.
Until it was mentioned, I did not remember if there was a sending unit at the vac/boost source that sent a electrical signal to the back of the gauge or not, because I did not remember if that gauge was electrical or mechanical, but with the coiled tube all the way to the back of this gauge, I guess it is a mechanical vac/boost gauge.

I also played with the Auto Meter brand dash pod for the 2005-2009 Mustang and the smaller 2-1/16" Shelby CF gauges for a lower profile look. The Auto Meter pod has the "angle" built into it. Shown below are the regular Auto Meter gauges from the CF Series (not CS signature), those gauges have since been sold and replaced with correct CS/CF 2010-2014 Super Snake gauges.......side-by-side.....

I didn't figure it would last long, the parts alone (assuming all gauges work) were worth $275 plus $20 shipping (basically $300) if they have this set up currently on their dash and functioning.

If a person has a gauge go bad, they will not need all of the other items that go with a new install, except the gauge and the sender, it is usually one or the other.....and sometimes an extra gauge is great for trouble shooting and issue, and the trouble may not be the gauge, but it is nice to have a "like" gauge for trouble shooting.

Just a bump I am on the hunt for the Oil TEMP gauge from this set, for N/A, 2 5/8" gauge with CS signature. Does anyone have one for sale? I have a Boost gauge (that goes in its place) CS sig, and an Autometer 2 5/8" (no sig) for trades if anyone has one. Thanks!
I just looked again and found my box with the CS/CF gauges and it says "2 5/8" and 2 1/16" Super Snake gauges w/harness's and 2 1/16" oil temp gauge" on the label........So mine is the smaller oil temp. gauge which would be correct for the pillar mount of a 2011+ N/A GT350.

R

Ahh so no 2 5/8” Temp gauge? Mine is the larger one
No, apparently not. I knew that I had picked one up, and "assumed" it was 2 5/8", BUT I bought it during the time when I was stocking up on the 2010-2014 Super Snake gauges and I think I had my eBay friend throw that oil temp. gauge into the deal at a very good price.......

I did see one just a moment ago on Offerup, NIB, it was sold.........$50. Listed for a 2007 Shelby GT......

I have not pursued it yet, but I was thinking about getting the LED replacement bulbs for the hot/incandescent bulbs in my Shelby gauge pod. I have seen the replacement LED's for that size bulb, but have not pursued it any further......

I know the LED's will most likely be polarity sensitive, but it will be easy to re-wire accordingly if needed and then it will work for both LED and incandescent.
