What'd you do today?

Well, the wife is working and I'm bored, so I'm starting this tread. There's always, "What did you do to your XXXXX today?" threads, so I thought this would be something different.

As I said above, the wife is working today, so I made it into a work day for myself. Spent 5-6 hours at our 7 acre property where we are going to build next spring. There's a spot that was set up perfect for a campground type area, so I've been working on cleaning it up.

I really thought the point of buying a tractor was to limit the amount of physical labor that was exerted, but I think I'm wrong. So, I needed some muscle relaxer for a night of watching football...

I may have started a little early though...

Was going camping this weekend, but there was a bad weather forecast for the mountains. So wife and I went to the Emmett Cherry Festival, which also had a small car show. I missed getting pics of a few other nice cars because they left before I went back for a 2nd time after the crowd dipped. However, here’s a couple of beautiful Fords! The pic of the truck would have been better if I shot the sunny side, but it was too tight on that side for a good picture.

Had a nice day checking out the other festival activities too.

I started the set up process for my QuickJack’s today about 8. Finally got set up raised up 10oz of DCT fluid on the first step and waiting for a cool down to do the second step. If you haven’t done this TRUST me. Watch Tim’s video it’s so easy this caveman did it.
I highly recommend the QuickJack for those of us who don’t have regular access to a lift.

Getting used to the new phone. Fortunately the transfer was easy, all the apps and music and photos and everything all set up on the new phone just like the old one. It just sucks that they have to create new chargers and plugs for new phones. The phone came with a cable, but no charger. Fortunately the phone I bought to trade uses the same USB-C plug and had a charger and cable with it, so I was able to use that until the shipment of stuff from Amazon arrived yesterday. That's the only thing I dislike about new phones.

I hate these new fangled phones !

There is no dial to turn to call those that you need to call ! And every time I try to "flip" it open it breaks in half !

Careful adding fluid in the driveway. I'm not sure how the new DCTs are, but you can easily over/underfill on a surface that isn't level.

Shop manual calls for filling tranny on a level surface.

Had a 305 Nitto 555R Extreme blow out thanks to the Fallujah quality roads here in Indianapolis (thankfully no significant damage to car). Tire had less than 150 miles on it. They are on backorder, so I wound up ordering 2 Pilot Super Sports in the interim.

Also, testing out BMW Sapphire Black Metallic Paint. Cool stuff. Black except in direct light, where it has a deep blue metallic refleftion.

Please forgive the god awful orange peel as I had a pressure issue with my regulator. Just a test panel, so not worth respraying.
