What'd you do today?

Well, the wife is working and I'm bored, so I'm starting this tread. There's always, "What did you do to your XXXXX today?" threads, so I thought this would be something different.

As I said above, the wife is working today, so I made it into a work day for myself. Spent 5-6 hours at our 7 acre property where we are going to build next spring. There's a spot that was set up perfect for a campground type area, so I've been working on cleaning it up.

I really thought the point of buying a tractor was to limit the amount of physical labor that was exerted, but I think I'm wrong. So, I needed some muscle relaxer for a night of watching football...

I may have started a little early though...

Hey Ron, how you doin'. Enjoy the visit.
Doing great! It will be a quick turnaround. Wedding today at Kilbuck creek in Monroe center. Staying the night here in Rockford and heading back to Indy in the morning. My daughter wants to go to Chicago in the morning to look at a wedding dress herself(she has a reservation).
keeping an eye out for that beautiful Shelby! It is great weather here!

Hoping Laika is done with the current round of seizures. He had two more last night, about 7:30 and then just after 10. I gave him valium after the 7:30 one, hoping to break the cluster so he wouldn't have another one this morning, but didn't get it all in his nose. And then I did it again after the 10pm one, and got the full dose that time. He was still a little off this morning. Was roaming around the house, and a couple times thought about crawling under the bed, but he listened to me when I told him no. I let him outside after giving him his morning meds, and he ended up finding a spot and just laid down while I was in the shower, and was still just laying there after I got dressed, so I let him be. But I had to go out and coax him back inside when I left. And after a couple laps around the house, finally decided to lay down outside the bedroom. And he was still there when mom and sister got to the house an hour ago. But she said he was acting normally, so I'm hoping things are getting better. He's had doubles before, morning and night, or night and morning, but never a 2nd one 3 hours after one before. Probably taking a little more time to completely get back to normal, especially after having some valium. He sure looked drugged last night, even tho it took him til almost midnight to finally decide to just lay down and relax. Seizures tend to do this, so nothing really out of the norm, but it's a first for him. Gonna see how he is when I get home in a couple hours and decide if I need to chat with the vet about it. A little difficult to be at the office, but he's not alone, so I'm a little better about it.
You're beginning to worry me about Laika. I truly know how attached you can get to a dog, especially one who is your roommate, companion, and buddy all wrapped up in one furry package. Seizures are not pleasant to witness for one that you care for, and very worrisome. I fervently hope you and your veterinarian can somehow get a handle on these and decide on a course of action that will eliminate them. Neurological problems are really difficult to diagnose correctly. Prayers for Laika's full recovery.

Replaced the Jaeger bros splash guard & executed another Tim mod to prevent future issues. Then took the 1997 SVT MUSTANG COBRA CONVERTIBLE (just covering all bases there with the cobra police around here 🤣🤣🤣) to a Friday night cruise at a local farm with my son.
I miss driving that car

You bringing the pop tarts ?

Have a safe trip Greg. 🙏
I saw this today, The BMW isn't a big deal even if its a 750 Li, its the blue license plate, it is rare here to see these, Reason if you import a car here and don't want to pay the 30% duty and 12% VAT( Value added Tax) you can get issued a blue plate, which means you also can't drive the car off the Freeport zone or sell it to anyone unless you or that buyer wants to pay those taxes.

There is a 2014 GT mustang up here where I live that has a Blue plate, I have never seen the car driven just parked in front of his house with a cover on it.

Noticed that on my street of 30 houses in Colorado, in a veteran heavy area no less, only mine and my 80 year old neighbors house 2 doors down from me fly a flag, even on such an important weekend of remembrance. Only 2. Pretty flipping sad.

Noticed that on my street of 5 houses in unincorporated 'rural' Arizona, in a Republican heavy area no less, only my flag is flying, even on such an important weekend of remembrance. Pretty flipping sad.

So your street rates at 6.7%, mine is 20%.... We win! ;)

But mine FLYS Every Day !

Well Bub, you are going to have to get up long before noon.
I would say we need to be there between 0700 & 0730... and it is a solid 20 minutes or so from where you are staying...
I know a back way. If you try to go thru town 45 mins or better.

Just finished fighting my inner fender wheel liner to change the marker/turn signal to diode dynamics LED’s. Had my freakin entire arm inside the fender and it was still a massive pain. So far toughest part was getting that side marker bulb seated in the receptacle with arms in the fender, blind. It was a hella tight fit but finally got it in. Put it all back together & me likey. Nowwwwwww I get to repeat the process on the other side. With much less garage clearance this time. Would have been much smarter to do this way back BEFORE I installed the splitter wickers 🤦‍♂️

Second cars and Coffee of the day and it was basically bunk. It’s at a dealer in Scottsdale that sells overpriced vehicles.
