What'd you do today?

Well, the wife is working and I'm bored, so I'm starting this tread. There's always, "What did you do to your XXXXX today?" threads, so I thought this would be something different.

As I said above, the wife is working today, so I made it into a work day for myself. Spent 5-6 hours at our 7 acre property where we are going to build next spring. There's a spot that was set up perfect for a campground type area, so I've been working on cleaning it up.

I really thought the point of buying a tractor was to limit the amount of physical labor that was exerted, but I think I'm wrong. So, I needed some muscle relaxer for a night of watching football...

I may have started a little early though...

Had an early wake-up with Laika having a seizure about 5:20am. As much as I'd like them to completely go away, I know that won't happen, and I can deal with 1 every 8 weeks or so. He had to be in the shower with me afterwards. The first hour or so after one he always wants to be close by. Good thing it's a decent sized walk-in shower so he had room to lay down and not get drenched.
The last few seizures have been on Thurs, that's kinda weird.

Headed back home and stopped to grab a bite while I wait for Louisville, KY rush hour to settle down…not eating sushi 🤣.

Stopped at customer painter on my way to Fathouse this morning. Below is a picture of the much improved Shelby hood pins. Straight from Shelby they were just fine, but installed against all our custom paint work they stood out like a soar thumb. So, painted them gloss black and painted the letters body color. Now they fit right in!

While I was there decided to spend some more money 🙄. Since this will be a show car and the trunk will be open during shows, decided to paint the subwoofer gloss black and the mesh cover body color…with a little extra bite…see below (still unpainted at the moment).

Headed off to Fathouse to meet up with @nickf2005 to deliver his special package. It was awesome to spend some time with you Nick! Wish we had more time to talk shop…maybe at ShelbyFest 2024? Seen some other forum rides there… @BLK&BLUE and @JCDriller. Bad ass rides for sure…I mean spectacular rides guys!

Seen Code Red chassis #1. Took some pictures but was told not to post them online yet 😔. Amazing piece of engineering! Ben toured me around their new shop. These guys are best of the best. If you’re considering any mods you really need to interview these guys! And, I got to see my MoTeC…finally after a year of waiting! Also pictured below.

Well, a few more hours of driving so off I go. Catch ya’ll later 🤟.

Don’t go looking…yet. I had mentioned a couple of times I would start a build thread when I laid my hands on my MoTeC. Since it’s been on back order for over a year with no definitive date of arrival I didn’t want to drag out a build thread…but, as you can see my hand is attached to my MoTeC 🤣🎉😍. Soooo, I plan to fire up that thread this weekend…stay tuned.

The Code Red was pretty awesome!

Glad the timing worked out! I hope SF24 works out. You know... that kid thing. 🤣

Mrs. Hyperformance hooked me up with a "Shelby themed" Buffalo Trace barrell pick. Goes nicely with my others. Don't know if I'll ever open it.

Wow, not sparing any details I see! I am thinking of doing something with the hood pin area. Might just do vinyl though I really like the painted look & gloss black would go very nicely with my blue, and a nice painted white lettering to match teh stripes....damn it! Enablers again! I should just be happy with it as is....lol

I’ve run over one on my bicycle. Luckily it didn’t end up like this!

That would make a quick stop!
I’ve ran over squirrels & small dogs on my bicycle. Almost had a squirrel do this to me, but fortunately I had very deep section rims and he just bounced off the side instead of getting in the spokes.

Congratulations to your daughter on her dual achievements. It takes a special someone to want to take care of others. Proud moment for sure.

I ask my wife that, she knows how hard it is to be a nurse, she was with me 24/7 every time I was in the hospital, Here they allow one person stay with you in the room 24 hours.

After seeing what these Nurses do, the blood and Crp they have to do, she still wanted to be a nurse, she's got a caregiver certificate and Radiology degree already. now she's working on her nursing degree.

Hard work indeed

Cut and trim lawn today as well, might not be able for a bit. Eating my last food and drink before midnight, as instructed by doctors before my eye surgery tomorrow, sure makes me nervous even though been through 3 already, but heard from several eye doctors around town if they had to have eye surgery, it would be by doctor doing mine, I'll try to remember a selfie tomorrow with patch that I can post on Sunday with a uncovered eye for those that bear to to see a jacked up 👁 eyeball.

Good luck tomorrow. Hope it all goes well and better than expected. You can be a pirate tomorrow. We will be waiting on your pirate selfie.
