Serious cage there, does that have to be inspected before you go racing ??

Yeah, I’ve been talking to the regional NHRA chassis inspector. I just have to make an appointment for him to come out here.

the point where the dash comes out I start getting scared. Congrats for getting a job that big done.

The dash was the easy part, well compared to having to weld upside down while trying to fold yourself into a pretzel.

Are you a welder by trade ?
During my Navy years, submarine repair, my shop made welding qual mock-ups.
In order to stay qualified, the welder had to weld in ( 3 ) planes, the qual was then split & examined by the NDT shop.
( visual, dye, x-rayed )
They had to do this for each base metal used aboard the subs. ( stainless steel, monel, inconel )

I’m not a welder by trade but I have done fabrication for many years. I got certified for welding many years ago and now it’s just something I do for myself at home.
