installed kr shifter this morning and with key in on or engine running the reverse "lockout" resistance is not there but with the key off the feel of a spring resistance is back for reverse gear. very easy to shift from 4th to reverse if not careful. Any thoughts would be helpful, but I will be going to the dealership asap

If the car is moving than I believe that the reverse lockout is activated but if standing still than you can put into reverse without trouble.

Thanks Art, I sent you a pm, with the engine running the lockout is not there, real easy to go from 4th to reverse gate just like from 4th to 5th, its scary!!! Going to take it in to WC Ford asap.
