Haven’t changed my supercharger oil in the 2011 as I’m only at 36k miles. Mechanic 101 logic tells me you’d want to run it to stir-up any sediment/particles and warmer oil always flows better than cooler oil.

Just changed my 2008 @ 9400 miles last week. Was a little dis- colored compared to new fresh oil, but really not too bad. Probably didn't need to do it but what the heck!

Whipple, for their superchargers, suggest changing the oil every 10 hours or each season.

For what it’s worth.

I have a 14' and I don't remember seeing a Mileage Interval in service manual for SC oil change. My understanding was these are Lifetime sealed units, oil in snout and greased gears in the back. Is that not accurate?

you are right.
I bought the car in last year. Car has 29k miles. I thought that I know nothing from the previous services of my car. Therfore I made for me a list that I want to exchange. For example oil, all filters, spark plugs, supercharger oil, air filter, brake fluid for DOT 5.1, coolant fluid, etc.

The service book does not write change the oil of supercharger but according to my experiences, the oils and the fluids are aging. The engine oil has only 6 MONTHS! And the brake fluid and coolant fluid have 2 years!
I exhanged the transmission oil on my 1998 year Daewoo Lanos, after 20 years. The shift became easier and quieter.....
So I think after some time it is worth replacing all fluids.

It was always my understanding that the supercharger oil is good for 100,000 miles.

I’ve never changed the oil in my 2.9 Whipple. I installed it in 2012 and have 25k miles on it. I guess I should look into this.

You had me worried… I went to Whipple’s website and discovered your info is for MARINE superchargers. Automotive is different.

That is the actual recommendation sheet they put in my 3.8L automotive supercharger packet.

I never noticed the Marine disclaimer.

I recently bought a 2014 GT500 svt and it has 6,800 miles on it. Should I change it since I don't know if anyone serviced the car other than the engine oil.
Is the supercharger oil change interval spelled out in the scheduled maintenance section of your Shelby supplement?

Please click your upper right avatar/account settings/vehicle details and enter your car year. It then shows under your screen name, which helps in conversations here. We cover multiple years of the GT500 on this forum. Be sure to click SAVE at the bottom!

I decided to change my supercharger oil and it was not in good condition. It was discolored a light brown. I used my compressor and brake bleed to suck the old fluid out. I refilled it with ford supercharger oil till it dripped out.
With 6,800 miles on it i was surprised at the fluid condition also changed out the brake fluid and transmission fluid. The rear jounce stops were dry rotted i was able to break them off with my hand. I added eibach pro sport springs and bmr lower rear control arms.
