On the medieval discussion on 'blue bloods'. Just take a look at the tubes used when someone draws blood from your arm, that blood is more or less oxygen depleted, venous blood, on it's way back to the heart and lungs; and is not exposed to open air; unless of course you have a sadist or vampire drawing your blood.
...back to the topic, have a look at the Vogtland springs, engineered and manufactured in Germany. They are available from Hot Parts/J&M Products.
www.hotpart.com. The springs are $207.50 including free ground shipping, and a really cool shade of purple!

These springs are used in BMW M series and MB AMG series automobiles, and yes they decided to make a set for the Shelby GT500! I am getting a set of the Vogtland Sport Springs installed this coming Thurs., 9-11-08. Along with J&M LCAs(no relo bracket), UCA, and adjustable panhard bar. I'm leaving the stock tokico dampers in the car for now. The springs will lower the car 1.2" all around, leaving the overall rake aspect intact. Will most certainly post to the forum after I take her out for a little test drive or three. Some more info below:
J&M Products has found the Vogtland Spring to be the best on the market. After evaluating the other springs, such as Eibach and H&R, we have determined that Vogtland is the best quality and the only spring we will continue to carry. Vogtland is the only spring which is made using the exclusive to Vogtland spring VVS alloy. By using the VVS alloy Vogtland is able to manufacture a superior spring which is up to 30% lighter than other springs of the same spring rates. This will reduce your unsprung weight and give you better handling, response, and road feel. These springs come with a 10 year no sag warranty.
