Just in from custom painter. Side stripes taped off getting ready for paint. This design is exactly same as the original Eleanor stripe except no periods after the G and T.

You painting the whole car?

They are doing a Level 3 paint correction (which some call a Level 4). It's the highest level of paint correction that can be done. When they are done it will be just like looking into a mirror! Here's just an example of their work. This 1964 C-10 won "Truck of the Year" in 2021.

Ah on so they sanded the entire clear coat and are re-polishing it?

Yes, but, midstream we decided to take it a step further and rebase it. The variations in color depth were too noticeable for this perfectionist, so there went a few thousand more dollars 😔. Has anyone on here noticed how bad this factory paint is? 🤣
