Recall of certain gt500 I have actually experience problem with check engine.
When going through 2nd to 3rd its acting up weird .they change Trans but never change same check engine and wrench 🛠. So I got an update from dealer regarding tcm. I am uploading the picture. Hopefully it works for my 2020 gt500

According to that notice they build them until first or second week of December if that is accurate. Might help the folks trying to calculate the 2022 production numbers on the other thread.

Should it already show? My blend date was 12/4/2021 and it shows nothing. Thanks for the info! I'll ask when I take it in soon.

Thanks for sharing. Checked my VIN. No recall for mine.
Where can I check if my VIN is on this list? I am assuming since mine was built for overseas it may not have this issue. So far mine runs fine no issues no engine lights etc. Thanks

They pushed hard to hit the 5,000 cars up till the very end of 21. Still it looks like only 4400 were made. Mine was built 08/03/21 #2231 so 2022 is way behind and Ford has called a close to production 11/23/22. Might be the lowest year.

How many GT500'S are made each year? Is there a certain allotment or as many as get ordered? Curious.

The initial run was supposed to be 15,000. 5,000 a year but 22 is looking to be a slim year.
Interesting I thought it was less much less, for some reason I thought 3000 a year for USA another 300 for international customers. Maybe that was from some other car And I mixed it up I am old you know so very possible hehe :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for the info

Shit they were probably hanging out in the lot together!
Do we know for a fact that our Chassis numbers coincide with the build date? Mine was built on 9-21-21 with Chassis number M2906. If that holds true, they would have built 675 between yours and mine in a little over a month and a half. Pretty lofty goal if it holds true.

Even though mine says no recalls I actually do have this issue. I would always recommend you get it checked just to be safe and push for Ford to do the update for you.

It’s my understanding that they can build 650+ per month depending on how many NON Shelby Mustangs are on the line at the same time. I’ve heard as many as 750 built in 1 month. The Chassis numbers are sequential so they go in order 1-4400 following each other. Unless there’s an issue and a car gets pulled out of line for various reasons. The VIN numbers are all over the place because they build all Mustang’s on the same line and it’s mixed up.
