Ace is being nosy

The Ace parts are not going to work for me, they're way to small for the factory or FFP vent.
What I'm looking for is a suitable replacement for the factory vent push in nut.
The dimensions are M13xM18 outside with an M5-0.9 thread.
This is basically a sheet metal blind push through fastener.
A ford part number would be great but it's not available separately.
I would like to keep my stock vent and get new fasteners for the replacement.
There seem to be very few sizes available and none with M5 thread.

My Python Forged hood vent came with these, square nylon push nut.

Unfortunately the FFP and the OE vents have holes to large for any plastic push in fastener.
How is the Python finished on the inside?

If you mean the actual finish, it depends on whether you paid T's folks to make the underside pretty as well or not. I didn't and initially I was going to use rivnuts but the plastic license plate fittings worked perfectly. Then, after all that, a month later I removed the tray for good. Figures, right?

Here's a shot of mine which is from FFP. I know my detailer/installer said there was some fitting they had to do. I have the thumb screws to put in just haven't yet since it's all covered and sleeping.

I was finally able to get the P/N for the push in nut on the hood vent.
W719189-S439 and they come 4 to a pack.
I'll let you know how it works out.

let us know how it goes. I too discovered that the ace fastners are too small for my hood vent.
