Hello fellow GT500 enthusiasts!

I'm in a jam, seeking a replacement stripe for my passenger side rear qtr panel. I got a deep scratch in the panel and the repair shop said they need to pull the stripe to spray the qtr properly. They've looked everywhere but the places they've contacted said that part is discontinued. I'm looking for part # BR3Z6320000AU. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Mark!

I don’t think you will be able to find a match. Your best bet is to remove the whole stripe and go aftermarket.

As Tim said, assuming you could find just that single piece of vinyl, I guarantee it won’t match the rest of stripe on that side of the car. My father in law had accident damage repaired on his S197 and the insurance company only authorized the trunk stripes to be replaced. It looked absolutely horrible from the years of UV rays fading the rest of the stripe. It clashed with the brand new ones on the trunk. I would absolutely change the whole set of stripes from that side of the car.

Thanks for all the responses. I ordered from FordPartsGiant because it was "available". No go, I got an email the next day saying it was discontinued. The repair shop found a vinyl guy that is planning on reproducing it. You all know how that will make me feel. If it looks goofy, I'm going to have to re-stripe the whole car with newer GT 500 stripe kit or aftermarket, I just haven't found an aftermarket stripe kit yet. Side note... I was anticipating getting the rejection email as the same thing happened to me when I was looking for my 89 notch back BBK off-road midpipe. After searching multiple sites, I "found" one ordered it then the next morning got the rejection notice.

So frustrating when these companies don’t clean up their websites 😤😤😤 glad you found a solution.

This is what you are going to have to do. Vinyl guys should be able to help out, they can replace the various pieces but it won't be an original sticker. You can get super close if not an exact match with vinyl. I actually had to do this with my front bumper because they damaged it when re-doing some ppf. You'd never know unless I told you.
