Ya unless you need to sell it I’d keep it ready to switch out in case you run into any issues.

Hey Joe. How many hours do you estimate it’ll take you to complete your build? I don’t have a good sense of scale here given my mechanical incompetence. 1000 hours? More? Less?
Joe is truly a master at this, he comb’s over every detail! It’s exciting to watch and see the progress with explanations. I’m sure he puts more though into his builds than many of the big car makers do on their stamped production cars. I highly recommend going through his Cobra build page.

Yessir, trying lol. So much different with most of the wiring going to the back compared to front. No fender wells or radiator support to tuck wires away or hide components. I refuse to Mount anything on the bulkhead like all the other gt40 builds do. I want a clean look 😎
It’s super clean, looks awesome!
Cant decide where i want to put key😑. In between gauges where yellow mark is or opposite side in green or in aluminum panels in blue?
View attachment 256091
I like the look of the yellow area BUT the blue area below it might offer less area for the key nest to scratch the dash.

Up to the fun part, where it all ties in 😬.who dont like some spaghetti 🤣🤓.before i pulled dash back out I use the blue tape just as a reference so i know where to bring the individual harnesses out.

Joe you are an excellent builder. Nothing is overlooked and everything is done right! I really appreciate this thread! There’s still people building cars the right way!

Need opinion on gauge location as im not to crazy about it on top.Leave where it is or move to A lower spot?
View attachment 256369 View attachment 256370
Im with ya I think a lower spot would be better. You don’t want the eyes picking it up in that spot.

shifter and linkage complete.catch can is temp in spot where I want it but wont mount till headers installed just incase need to move alil. Everything is mounted,as you can see my bulkhead is clean just as I like it lol.only thing on it is expansion tank😉.most likely will not see another gt40 with a clean bulkhead atleast I haven’t yet lol😎. There is so many ways to make a build unique in its own way, get creative,a lot of fab work & patience in the end the result is well worth it. Have big plans on the interior aswell for a clean simple look🤓
