I have been interested in this gt500 for a month. It's been sitting in their show room for a long time. I talked to them briefly. They say they can be flexible since they want to this to move out before the new model come in. So, anyone care to advise me regarding how much I should offer/pay them for this one? They say they don't do 0% APR on gt500. Is that true? I'm new here. Have been reading very good info around here. Thanks in advance.

I would offer $42k, pay no more than $43.5k. If they don't agree, leave em your card and they will call you back in 2 days.

willow500,
I bought one of those in April less the Nav System. MSRP was $47,250 and I paid $43,200 give or take a few $$ and I think there prob was more room to negotiate. I generally deal with the Gen Mgr and avoid all the sales games that most salespeople play.

My dealer rep said no 0% financing but he did offer financing lower than Ford's current rate. Ford doesn't usually offer the 0% financing on their specialty(?) cars; They didn't offer 0% financing on the Retro T-Birds either.

Good Luck!

Thanks shelby members. This gives me an idea of it's fair price range.

I would offer $42k, pay no more than $43.5k. If they don't agree, leave em your card and they will call you back in 2 days.
^^^ I'm just going to copy what you said. Thanks.

I think even that is a little high. I'd say $42,000. The new model years are around the corner, probably arriving in a few months. If you're desperate to get your hands on the car then i'd say $43,500. But I agree NOT A DIME MORE.

I think there are already a few 2010 GT500s sold to members awaiting delivery for like $45,000-$48,000 depending. So spending more than $43,000 on a 2009 doesn't seem worth it when for 2grand more you can get a brand spanking new 2010 model.

I think you should tell them you'll give them $42,000 + their tax, title and tag.
Title, tag and processing fees will probably be $300 and tax will be another $2,940 (7% sales tax) depending on state. Or I guess you could cut it down a bit more and say you'll give them $45,000 OUT THE DOOR (as long as tax is included).
