Anyone ever had their hood latch come undone at 90 mph and catch the second spring loaded hook?

Damn scary.

I cannot pull the hood open when its stopped. I think the hood may not have been closed firmly. I did recently have some custom work done to install the radar detector unit, which I believe included some work on this area. Specifically the peice of metal in front of the condenser and radiator to which I believe the hardware for the hood latch and horns are mounted.

Had the hood come all the way up on my Lightning - totally could not see a thing happened is less than a second - slowly came to a stop - the hard part was pulling the seat out of my as# - sucked it right up - scarey stuff.
