GT500 production run of one year?

This is a thread on another forum (I hope that it's okay that I post it here). Click on the link and go down to post number 25. There is a dealer in Texas saying that the '07 run of GT500s will be it!

To steal a theme, bah-dah-da-da-dah - I don't believe it.

I'll make some hypotheses here:
The Dealer honestly believes/knows there won't be a 2008 run -- higher demand, more above-sticker markup.

The Dealer knows there will be a 2008 run, and tells folks -- lower demand immediately because of high above-sticker markups.

The Dealer knows there will be a 2008 run, and lies about it -- higher demand, more above-sticker markup, gets to do it all again when "to the dealer's surprise" they're making a 2008 run, and he didn't allow any pre-orders at below 20k over sticker.

In all cases, the dealer's best interest is served in getting people to pull the trigger right away.

Take him with a grain of salt.

B.S. Thats just a plot by the dealer to sell more cars at a higher premium...
