Hope this post is in the correct forum. So, I have a 2011 GT500 with a glass roof. The glass roof shade has a crack in the track... (somewhat common in this year I believe). I leave it open, but would love to have the option to close it. How difficult a fix is this....is it a garage fix or better left to the dealer or some type of an interior specialist? I’m moderately handy, but I have my limits. Thoughts?

thanks guys....

I don’t have the glass roof option... is the shade something that can be removed and replaced? If so, I’m sure you could find one in a junk yard.

I wouldn’t risk one from a junkyard.... I’m ok buying a new one, but my concern is the process of removal and replace. I think half the interior has to come out...

You might want to contact a PDR or Interior shop to inquire if they do this kind of work or if they can give you some tips.
Just an idea...

Mine gets hung up from time to time and I have to reach my hand up and adjust one of the metal tracks. You may have already tried that.

@Snoopy49 seems to have a lot of repair guides. Got one on this Snoop?

Hope this helps. Someone wrote a How To for the problem you have, problem is, I can't remember which forum I saw it on. It would have been back in 13/14. It would have been this forum or SVTPerformance.

The shade spool and runners require periodic lubing... I learned that from the dealer, as mine was acting up and not wanting to budge from the "closed" position without wiggling and jiggling...
