Going to a car show here in the UK and there will be a dyno available.

As its a corvette show with the mustangs invited I'm gonna pop on over.

IF they allow me a slot to dyno the car where does the tach signal get picked up?

Wanted to ask the folks here since a UK dyno operator may not have come across a GT500 yet.

cheers

When mine has been dynoed they remove the passenger side coil cover and attach a clip to the forward most (No. 1 cyl) coil pack.

Not sure which of the wires to it.

And snug the cover back down so the coil packs don't 'float'.

Hope that helps.

as it turns out there were loads of vettes, (guessing 200+) and about 25 mustangs.

And no dyno :(

Thanks for the info still!

there were 2, my coupe and a vert. Along with a Ford GT.

Plus a few other exotics, a Koenigsegg CCX, 2 Lambo Gallardos and misc other american cars.

I actually walked past the vert a few times as it had no stripes and looked rather plain. Aside from the 20 in wheels that is.

cheers

uh oh, let me call in the pro stripe GT500 owners....... one minute........ :roller:

After finding a pic someone posted I'm not 100% sure it was a GT500

did the verts have the same interior as the coupes? these seats are the wrong color. I cant quite remember if it had the rear diffuser. It did have the GT500 hood and front end along with the badges on the fenders.

I walked past the car and not until I looked at the pics someone else posted on the mustang owners club UK website did I realize there was another GT500 there. That pic was from the front.

My friend posted his pics which had the one you see and then the doubts started. Damm clones..

Least I had the only new Shelby GT500 there :D

A blue Shelby with no over the top stripes can never be plain, they know that they don't need to be flashy to catch people's eyes
