This 93R looks to have some cool history.
We all try to find a die cast that looks like our car. This car was the model to make the die casts!

From the listing:
“The car was reportedly used by GMP to create its 1993 Cobra R die-cast model, and a printed statement on the underside of the box thanks the current owner of the car. The die-cast model will accompany the car and bares the #23, which matches the car.”

I almost bid on that boat. It went off at $100,000, which I thought was a great price. If I had a money tree and more time………I was in the Marine Corps in 1986 and my bff bought that exact Shelby Charger but in black. That night he went out celebrating. A friend was driving his drunk @ss home and he puked all over the passenger footwell. Car was six hours old. Ah, good times.

Considering that while the condition looked fantastic, it was considerably modified from stock (which is typically not a value-adder), I'm still amazed what folks are paying for these '93's... And I'm wondering why the hell the motor needed a refresh with only 10K original miles. I guess I could ask, I know Rollins..

This one ended on BaT today. $12,500 seems like a good deal for a summer time driver.

If the guy still had all of the stock components to return it to some semblance of "I'd be willing to be seen in public in that", I'd agree, fair deal for a 44K car with plenty of life left in it.
