My original 99 Mustang GT Convertible top is showing it's age a bit.
The back glass (factory defrosted heated glass) is showing it's age. It is starting to seperate between the glass and fabric.

Have any of you Texas (DFW) folks had any GOOD experiences with shops doing top repair/replacement?

Anybody replace a top by themselves?

I search the GT500 Forum, but only found 'maintenance' postings, not replacement...

Thanks!

Don’t have an answer for you Mike. I have a new top for my 89 that needs to go on during my restoration. Not sure if I’ll try it myself or seek a professional.

As an idea... give HPP Racing in Lewisville a call. They are a Mustang speed shop. They eat/breathe/sleep Mustangs and I’m betting they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

I would contact someone from the local PCA for a reccomendation, I can promise they will know of a "quality reputable" installer. I had one replaced on a 968 in Colorado that did a GREAT job.

It would be at least a try.

I found one w/25 yrs experience and some nice example pics on their website, with five star rating.
