If any of you have noticed a clunk in the rear on hard acceleration or dumping the clutch with the the M-5230-SGT axle backs, take a close look at the left forward muffler hanger bracket.
That bracket has a metal tang that is bent downward and contacts the metal bar used for mounting the rubber insulator.
The clunk was intermittent and I thought it was the UCA or the center carrier causing it, but not in this case.
If you moderately hit the left tail pipe in an upward direction with the palm of your hand you should hear it. The clearance on mine was about 1/4 inch, so I removed the bracket and trimmed 1/2 inch off of it and no more noise.
I wish FRPP would have altered the design a little:mofo:
