Do you have glossy or matte stripes?

I use a clay sponge and clay my glossy white stripes periodically. It removes gunk stuck to the painted vinyl.

Clay comes in various abrasiveness. I wouldn't use anything agressive on vinyl, regardless of matte or gloss finish.

Before mine were ceramic-coated, I followed the advice in this video.

I clay over the stripes. Just use lots of clay lube\detail spray and fold the bar often. Couple light passes, with little pressure should do the trick.

You can safely use a nano clay sponge like Tim pointed out on the stripes. I have without issue.
