Anyone going, worth checking out? I’m not to far away for work and have my car here, may go if worthwhile.

Eric,

Worth checking out? Answer: HELL YES! This is the biggest all Ford show in the country. 85 acres of ONLY Blue Oval. I went last year for the first time in about 8-9 years, and it was counted as the biggest one to date. If you have your car, I'd seriously say pay to put in on the show field. It beats parking in someone's yard outside the fairgrounds. You'll pay between $10-20 dollars a day to park. I can tell you a nice place if you want. Nice family and short walk to the gate. That said I've never had a problem doing that. There's a ton of things going on this year. New announcements from Ford, Shelby American, RTR, and I think Saleen. Their displays alone are worth it. Rare blue oval cars in the buildings. It's just awesome.

If you want to fill out the application to be in the parade downtown. They shut the town down and the people of Carlisle line the streets cheering you on. You roll into town 3-4 wide and then park in the street. It's like another show in itself!

I'll be there in my Velocity Blue 21 and my wife will have her 55 Mercury.

Thanks for the replies, will definitely head up if work allows. Website says online registrations closed but can still do day off. If you park in show can you leave at your own discretion or are you in for the duration

I just looked it up and was able to register at this link which is the official link. I know the parade is limited to a certain number of cars but it says it’s still an option. And they try to gat as many as they can on the show field. It’s not packed or chaotic. Always well organized in my opinion.

You can leave once you are in there. Most people get there early and stay but it is not uncommon to see cars leave. When I had my 96 there I asked and it was no big deal. You just have to part the seas of people to get to the gate. But most are decent and the lanes are pretty wide. Like I said it’s 85 acres.

I’ll post some pics as well later on. Any way of doing an album on this site?
