I found the fix to the brake dust problem. $15 armor all, brake dust repellent
I use it on my f250, last for about 3500 miles, pending on rain and idiot homeowners that cant adjust their irrigation system. So I said what the heck. So far so good , make sure the wheels are dryI’ll try anything once
Didn't effect my brakes in the leastWhat's the best way to avoid getting it on the rotor?
I've used it for years on my f250What's the best way to avoid getting it on the rotor?
It has been a week, I'm doing the happy dance, wheels look great, just make sure they are dry and do not touch them,Just ordered the Armor All, excited to try it…
Cause DAMN these brakes put out some dust!!
1 can usually lasts for about 4 applications on my f250, I kind of over did it on my gt500, over half a can,Works like a charm. Have been using it for a year. Goes a long way too, many applications from one can.
I bought 3 cans for $45. It used to be $12.99Has anyone noticed that the price for this stuff has almost doubled in the past week?! I need to find somewhere local that sells it...
Ebay is where I purchased mine, no problemAmazon wants over $28 now! I thought I saw it on eBay for lower but I have my doubts about them.
You are more than welcome, brotherWorks well! I'd say an 80% reduction, which is a TON. Thanks for the tip friends!
I'm still at 100% reduction, must be dry and you can't touch the rimWorks well! I'd say an 80% reduction, which is a TON. Thanks for the tip friends!
I had ceramic coating on my 2019 bullitt, that would still dust up, the picture I posted was after driving it for a couple days, armor all, huh? how does it compare to all the ceramic coatings and sio2 sprays out there that you can also easily apply to the wheels?
Day 5My wheels are ceramic coated but the foam cannon and pressure washer don't get it done so I will be trying as well.
I've been using it for years, no film or gunk, keep reading reviews of some film and gunk after a while from this product that is very tough to remove.
My f250 was my test rat. 100's of thousands of miles, love it, after about 3500 miles I clean and reapplyI need to get that for the Explorer, cuz the front wheels get filthy really quick.
Yes, unless you feel the need to tape off the rotor, like I said used it for years, works great,so you just spray it all over the spokes and the inner barrel? does it get on the rotor?
It's on the can under directions, wash, rinse, dry, apply and DON'T TOUCH,if you can, pls detail exactly your process of using it thanks...
You are right, I've been using it for years, the barrel being 11 inches deep made go a little overboard. I posted 5th day picture and still looking goodI've never experienced anything like that when using the product. You don't have to go crazy with it, either. Just a couple quick circular sprays on the wheel is enough. One can of spray will easily lasts five or six washes.
