Hey all - wanted to get this info out of my head, as I hope it will be useful for the folks who opted for the black stripe on the '22 Heritage Editions.

When I was searching a few months ago for HE's, I found a black stripe one at Victor Ford in Wauconda, IL. When I called, they said it was reserved for the owner of the dealership. I just looked again on Ford.com to see if it was still listed (to get the VIN), but it is gone. I am going to swing by the dealership in the next few days to see if, by chance, the owner is keeping it at the dealership over the winter. If so, I'll try to get more details on the car (VIN and chassis #).

I know we'll eventually know how many black stripe HE cars there were, but that could take years. In the meantime, it's fun to do some Sherlocking. I'd love to pull up in my HE and walk in and ask to see the owner's car, but we'll need some better weather here in Chicago for that.

More to come...

I've been tracking these cars. I've found about 10 so far. Five of them being CFTP cars. Interestingly, another dealership owner in Missouri has a CFTP black stripe the dealership owner ordered for himself. A quick search on any of the major car search sites yield almost non. I've seen 3 advertised against all the white stripes cars.

Jeff victor has a very nice collection of stangs he used to host a yearly carshow that was top notch and his collection was on display. I’m sure Jeff has this Shelby in his collection and I’m sure it’s still showing cause he doesn’t title these vehicles since he can just throw a dealer plate if he wants to drive them. My owner and him were tight and Jeff and I would do dealer trades I remember his voice I’m also shocked he is still collecting he has to be in his upper 70s.

I'm on it, We'll find out the number it might take a few months to track them all down, I put up what I had found so far in an earlier thread and it's reposted above.
This isn't going away, several members on this forum are very interested in this combo. Everyone agrees who has seen one, it is a sharp combination. I still contend the number of base and CFTP HE cars with painted black stripes is less than 20.
If I knew they were that hot I Guess I should have bought the Clement Ford car at $20k ADM last month.

yup, just wanted to call it out for the team here, looks to be a super late car.........
It is kind of bizarre that this car is just now arriving. It went into production on July 23, 2022, was assembled on September 2, 2022 and didn't ship until February 14, 2023. N2244 should have arrived many months ago. I sure hope it hasn't had any misfortune that needed attention.

Maybe one of the stolen recoveries that needed some TLC before it left Ford.

N2244 is the Clement Ford car, this new car is the Koons Car.
Apples and oranges.
It is the Koons car VIN # ending in 1559 that went into production on July 23, 2022, was assembled on September 2, 2022 and didn't ship until February 14, 2023.

Any insight into the delay? And does anyone know the chassis # on this Koons car?

Since the car has not been sold yet its VVR report is still presumably accessible by the dealer. A prospective buyer may want to ask the dealer for a copy in advance to see if it sheds any light on the reason(s) for the extensive delay. On the battery front, even in transport mode that is a long time for the battery to hold up without a tender.
