That may’ve happened before I purchased my car. My purchase date is 01/06/20.
The point I was trying to make is double check what your recall alert is for... is it for the brake pedal...?

Stangmode gave you a shout out for your video related to the secondary chain tensioner problem. Tim you’re worth your weight in gold.
Here is his video. He used some of my footage:

Saratoga, what did you use to get such a great picture?
I have a SnapOn BK8000, digital wireless bore scope. I'm able to take still pics or video with sound. It has a dual view imager on it making it perfect for situations such as this.

The bulletin specifies build dates from December 2, 2019 through December 16, 2020, so there's roughly a one year period this problem has surfaced. It likley covers all 2020 GT500s. If your car falls in that range, I would check it pronto. If your car was built after December 16, 2020, Ford was aware of the problem and likely took steps to correct and prevent occurance. Check it if you're so inclined, but I'd venture to say most 2021s are okay. Perhaps the pre-production 2021 models are not, or if you have a very early build date. Look at your window sticker. There is a blend date at the top of the sticker that will show the build date, or at least it will be within reasonable proximity to completion.

Here's a cropped version of my window sticker. Note the blue arrow.

The blend date is April 12, 2021. That was the Monday the initial plant closure commenced and the car is on the trim line according to my dealer and the documentation they've provided. So technically it's a body, but it is not a complete rolling chassis. Will they change the date? I have no idea. I'd be willing to bet that's how it will be issued.
Im not bothering car runs great and has a door sticker Manufactured date 2/2021.
Thanks for your heads up.

I did it both ways. However, I let it cool slightly (about 15 minutes) after the engine run.

I would rest easy with a 02/2021 assemble date.

Would you be concerned on a 2/2021 Manufactured date?
That is outside the window listed, but it takes less than a minute to check it yourself with a proper mirror or borescope.

My new borescope came in today.
I didn't get the card for it - and I didn't have a third hand, so I couldn't get a pic --- but I can see the groove, so I'm good

Whew 😁
