Pretty wild that there were more 13/14 made than 11/12. They did bump up the performance, but you thought that maybe they'd go for a bit more exclusiveness.

2010 is probably the most desirable then!?

How many of those have the ultra rare ‘Stripe Delete" option?

You know, I've always wondered what my glass roof, stripe delete car was # of #. I should just stop being cheap and buy the report.

Look on the charts that Tim provided for your answer. It’s broken down by options and colors. It’s an interesting chart.

In 2014 they made 83 Ruby Red GT500’s with the glass roof.

nickf2005.......1669 Black GT500 coupes; 186 with glass roof, 899 without hood stripe, 898 without side stripe.

If only you had the 1 of 1 black GT500 with the side stripe only.....?.

I'm not able to zoom well enough. So, there were 186 black with glass roof... I'm not sure if there is a way to determine if there were additional options to a particular car?

End of the day, doesn't really matter. I do think it's kind of cool that mine ONLY has a glass roof as an option. No cover, no stripes, no technology package, etc.

If I could only have one... I'd choose the glass roof everyday and twice on Sundays.

My 2011 ( 1 ) option car was " 1 of 2 ", my ( 2 ) option 2014 is " 1 of 1 ", cost you $ 60 + $ 7 shipping to find out.
Stranger still, my 2017 F150, out of over a million F series trucks built in that year, was " 1 of 1 "
The MY spread sheets are nice to have for " general " information..

I personally never bought into the “1 of xxxx” proclamations when breaking vehicles down by all of their options. “1 of xxxx” statements are to convey rarity, which translates to increased values. I do say my 2000 Cobra R is 1 of 300. That’s why those cars command such a high price. Ford only made 300 examples. Ford made a crap ton 07-14 GT500s. They even made a bunch of 13/14 GT500s. A 1 of 47,996 or 1 of 10,615 is never going to be rare car (read difficult to find/buy) and therefore the prices will reflect it. I have a 2011 GT500. Ford made 9,934 11/12s. If I wanted one today, I could find a bunch for sale. It’s not a rare car.

" 1 of 1 " conveys there is 1,...............nothing more.
.................The fact that it is or isn't worth more changes nothing.
" 1 of 300 " means there are 300 examples.

  1. rare
    [rer]

    ADJECTIVE
rare (adjective) · rarer (comparative adjective) · rarest(superlative adjective)
    1. (of an event, situation, or condition) not occurring very often.
      "a rare genetic disorder" ·
      • (of a thing) not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value.
So which # comes closer to the dictionary meaning of rare, 1 or 300 ??
Ford didn't make 9934 copies of your 2011.
For some reason on this site, rare & collectible mean the same thing to some members..

Thanks for the dictionary lesson Don.

If someone wanted a 2011, they could shop for a 2011 or a 2012 since they were essentially the same. They would have 9,934 chances of finding one. If someone wanted a 2014, they could shop for a 2013 or a 2014 since they were essentially the same. They would have 10,615 chances of finding one.

Conversely, if someone wanted a 2000 Cobra R, they would have 300 chances to buy one. There was no car like it the years prior or after. Most have never seen a 2000 Cobra R in person. Trying to claim a 2014 GT500 is “more rare” than a 2000 Cobra R is quite silly at best.

That’s a good story there, Tim. If someone wanted to find a Ruby Red GT500 with a glass roof they would only have 83 chances to find one so that lends itself to making my car much rarer (and therefore, more valuable) than your 2000 Cobra R.
Mine also has a rock chip just above the driver’s side headlight on the hood that no other GT500 in the world has which only adds to it‘s collectibility. Plus, mine can go 200 mph.........how fast can that Cobra R go, tough guy?

Only 198 Ingot Silver GT500 coupes and only 19 of those with red accents. Must not see many on the road. Took me awhile to get used to the color combo. Love it now!
Looks great, including the Base wheels! FWIW, there were only 165 Ingot Silver GT500 Coupes made in 2013. (The other 33 Ingot Silver GT500s were Verts.) Of the 165 Coupes, 24 had Red Stripes (17 Recaros + 7 Base Seats).

And maybe less with your exact options..
+1. Ford's spreadsheets only go so far, listing the number of cars made with each option, without providing a means of calculating how many were made with specific combinations of options. For that, you need a Marti Personalized Statistics Report.

In 2000, there were 215,500 Mustangs built, out of that gross, 300 had the Cobra R ( option, pkg., etc ). The Cobra R had equipment that separated it from the other 215,200 Mustangs. ( engine, color, suspension, etc. ) It is these differences / # produced that make it rare.
In 2014, there were 134,345 Mustangs built, 4816 were GT500 coupes ( option, pkg. etc ) The GT500 had equipment that separated it form the other 129,529 Muatangs. ( engine, color, suspension, etc. ) It is these differences / # produced that make it rare.
And you for some reason can't get your head around the fact that ( 1 ) is a lower # than ( 300 )..
