For those that are huge fans of the 350 versus the 500 due to the grille/bumper/fascia on the 500, I wonder if there could be a way to take the fenders, hood, fascia and splitter off of a 350 and put it on a 500.
They both share the same radiator support structure that's unique from the S550, so it's possible. The issue will be around the ducting behind the fascia as the two have distinctly different cooling packages.
From what I understand the entire front clip, front fenders, and hood of the GT350 are all different than a regular Mustang. Sounds like if you installed the GT350's entire front section from the A pillar forward, it might work "IF" the connector points from the GT350 matched those of the GT500. That would be an expensive project if you could make it work. The 2020 GT500 may also be unique from all other Mustangs, so that could be an issue as well. Why would you go to all this trouble??
Exactly what I was thinking ….. WHY ??? To me, there isn't a "dime's worth of difference" in the general look of the two. I AM excited to actually see both of them in person … no pressure or duress since I can't buy either one, so it's nice to be just an interested onlooker.
If memory serves it is in the trunk and installed when the car arrives. Same issue with the truckers tearing them off when off loading the car at the dealership.
Read an article regarding how much down-force each car produces. Will try to find it again and post a link. For the street they are both rash waiting to happen. On the road course, it's up to the driver to obtain the maximum amount of availability from each car. Reaching 10/10ths on a road course will take a lot more than some carbon fiber or plastic - but it does aid in getting there.
