Ford and Roush go together like peanut butter and jelly. You can have one without another, but it's just not the same. Ford's new 2011 Mustang 5.0 has already been getting tons of acclaim and now Roush will be taking it to a whole new level in performance. For a retail price of $5,999.00, your 2011 Mustang can have upwards of 550-hp and 470 ft-lbs of torque!
The Roushcharger Tuner Kit (part # 421140) is based on the popular TVS2300 Roushcharger and comes with a 90mm pulley that puts out approximate seven pounds of boost. To ensure the forced inducted 5.0L stays healthy, 47 lb fuel injectors, high-flow fuel rails, high-flow Roush air land and a twin 60mm throttle body are also included in the kit.
And those wondering about reliability and warranty, Roush offers a 90-day parts warranty but notes that it will not maintain the factory Ford warranty. Those willing to wait until fall, Roush will be releasing a kit that will come with full tuning and warranty.
When it comes to Ford Mustang performance and forced induction, superchargers are definitely at the top of the list. There's just nothing better than accentuating the natural torque of a V8 than pairing it up with a brilliantly designed supercharger. Ford Racing wasted no time on the 2011 Ford Mustang's 5.0L V8 TiVCT motor and has just announced a twin-screw supercharger setup for the vehicle.
The supercharger is a 2.3L twin-screw setup and helps the Mustang put down 624-hp and 536 ft-lbs of torque. That is a very nice increase from the factory 412-hp and 390 ft-lbs of torque. "Superchargers are the ultimate in power upgrades for Mustang enthusiasts," George Goddu, Ford Racing Performance Group Manager said.

After debuting the new Boss 302 Mustang late last week at Laguna Seca raceway, Ford has how released an extensive new selection of photos of the car for those who just can't get enough.
The hopped-up Mustang GT gets a more powerful 5.0-liter V8 with 440-hp and 380 ft-lbs of torque thanks to a new intake and exhaust system. Other notable items include a 3.73 rear end, an upgraded clutch, adjustable shocks and stiffer springs, a rejigged traction control system, Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels. Options includes a limited-slip differential and Recaro seats.
And debuting at Laguna Seca, Ford has also released more pics of the B0ss 302 Laguna Seca model with lightweight wheels, R-compound tires, a rear spoiler, front splitter and brake cooling ducts. Ford claims this model can pull 1.03 lateral Gs!
Ford recently announced it would sell the new 5.0-liter V8 engine in the 2011 Mustang GT in crate form for do-it-yourself power freaks. Now, Ford Racing has upped the offering by putting the 2011 Shelby GT500's supercharged 5.4-liter on the list.
Making 550-hp and 6200 rpm and 510 ft-lbs of torque at 4,250 rpm, the 717-lb engine retails for a not-insignificant $20,999. That weight doesn't sound like a little amount either, but it's the biggest improvement to the 2011 GT500 engine, using an aluminum block and weighing far less than last year's version.
Amidst the classic Ferraris and the typical antique pre-war models on display at "The Quail Motorsports Gathering," this year's event featured a wide selection of American muscle, all thanks to Carroll Shelby. The Quail has increasingly become a popular spot for high-end automakers to display their wares in the week-long run-up to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, however, it continues to stay true to its roots, focusing on motorsports.
"Carroll Shelby is one of America's great success stories," said Gordon McCall, co-founder of The Quail Motorsports Gathering in a statement. "He has been a World War II aviator, a champion racecar driver winning the 24 Hours at Le Mans amongst other races and a legendary automobile designer.
