Default Wheel/tire combo

I would like to have my two spare stock 18" wheels widened. I do not want to alter anything in the wheel housing area. How much should I have these stock 08 wheels widened and by whom? Also, I want to stick with Mickey Thompson street/drag radials. What is the widest tire that will fit under the unaltered wheel housing? My GT500 has not been lowered.

I think Jcthorne has 335 tires on his, and I think he has not done any fenderwell mods, but I am not sure. If you search his username, you can probably find his threads about this.

I run 305s on a 10.5" wide wheel with no mods to the fenderwells. I could probably run a little wider.

Using the stock wheels 10.5" wide is as wide as you want to go.

If aftermarket you can use an 11" wheel with the proper offset.

+1 and you can use the 345/35/18 M/T DR. Keep in mind they're great for punching it from stoplight to stoplight, but not so great on the track. A very short sidewall is simply too stiff, thus minimizing flex (and unfortunately hook).

If you're going to race your car, you can go significantly narrower and actually have better traction.
