Month 4 of owning my 2010 Shelby...absolutely awesome!!
However; I am getting about 10 miles to the gallon. I do mostly city driving with lots of stop and starts (San Antonio). I push the car a little bit but not crazy. Does this sound right? Are there specifics to help in this area? I figured around 14-15 at least.
Any help would be appreciated.
By the way...no mods as of yet....still stock equipment.
I use a gas mileage app and my driving is mostly in town. My average is about 12 mpg. A friend of mine that had a 12 averaged around 15 mpg but his commute had more highway miles than I do. He probably has more discipline than I do too. The only long road trip I made, it got a little better than 20.

My 2013 has 6k on it and overall is 15.1. Longer freeway journeys get me 18-19 with some brisk fun. I can eke out 23 out of it if I really try but that is totally boring and "funless" .. And it only takes one ricer and the experiment swiftly ends!

I average around 16mpg normal city/highway driving. Highway I have seen 22-23mpg range in 6th gear.
Also, when you fill up and reset the mpg meter, it takes a bit for it to settle in, but just a note. If you sit somewhere idling, it will affect the mpg reading. Best things to do keep track of the gallons added/miles when you gas up.
Also, any driving you can do in 6th gear, do it. cruising 5th gear at 2000-2200rpm will suck some gas up.
I've been getting between 13 and 15 MPG since ownership, but my commutes are mostly highway (with some traffic mixed in), so sometimes it's a bunch of stops and starts. I would expect that the more time you spend in the lower gears (1-4) or if you are hard in the gas, the less your MPG. Sometimes I think I can see the gas needle move when I take off fast in 1st and continue thru 3rd, wow, it’s fun when I do that. Reminds me, one of our members has a good quote on his signature; smiles per gallon (think that came from member SHELLLB). That’s what this car is about, smiles, it has no care in the world about getting you decent MPG. I have a Fiesta that is my MPG car.
